I had the unfortunate displeasure of meeting their personnel when they did not allow three, 12-year old boys to enter a Quinceanera because they "did not have an invitation and they were not properly dressed." The mother of one of the boys was already inside. I approached the guards and requested to speak to the supervisor and instead of helping me, they question me. I request again, and after getting the run around, one of the guards tells me he is the supervisor. I requested to see his I.D. card so I knew who I was speaking with. I get questioned again and he was reluctant to provide me the information. But, I was persistent and he finally showed it to me. The guard confirms they did not allow the boys to enter because they failed to provide an invitation, but denies the boys were told they were not properly dressed. I ask the boys which guard made the statement. They point him out and the guard denies it.

I understand the role of a security guard might be challenging at times, but what I don't tolerate and completely disagree with is the guard being dishonest about this minor incident. Honesty says a lot about a person, but being honest is something that can't be taught. It also says a lot about a business who tolerates or allows their employees to be unprofessional, dishonest and abuse their authority, especially while wearing a uniform.
