I am rejecting this response because: I reviewed his information he sent in and
he started the work May 8th we sign the paper on May 1st he work up until June after the first inspection from 203k to approve the first initial work that had to be done which was the gutting the bathroom and the kitchen and then replacing the plumbing the electric for the appliance and also to put in the cabinets and counter top and do the first bathroomNow here is where he started to get shady on trying to get the extra cash when he started to separate the kitchen to a hallway by the basement door and then telling us the sub floor has to be removed and redone which no one knew how the floor was underneath so he starting with saying what he have to do and then he also stated he had to replace wall in the kitchen which was never replace he only plaster the walls so with that and the floor he stated that was another $4,dollarSo if you read what he has in his contract which remolding a kitchen is everything that was in this kitchen then most contractor do a break down on the work and supply the are needed to do the job with everything by square feet and footage he do not do that he just come up with a price line and say this is what it is and then try and change the order in the middle of doing the workSo we advice him that to save money which we do not have is to do the floorWhich he was charge to tear the floor up and to re install the sub floor *** which is the owner @ *** *** advise to take the floor up to cut the cost just like he took the cost out of painting the entire kitchen and I brought the tiles for the kitchen so he was working with the first pay up money of $12,and the only work he did was the plumbing and electric and the floor and the first bathroom no cabinets or counter tops so once the first inspection went through he stated he wanted the pay for the other amount to do the work but never completed the kitchen so from there we told him not to come back to work until he bring the kitchen cabinets and counter top that is when he put the lien on my home in order to get paid for the other amount and from there his attorney contact me so that we can come to and agreement so that *** *** can finish the job which he never come to on time and complete any work so this was explain and then from there his attorney gave him a time line to finish the job in one month from the day that he start to finish the jobI explain to him the only way this man gets paid is by me letting my loan people know he is working and completing the work which he has not done every thing is a half job to him and he do what he want in my house his way and not my way which is not what I am paying for I had numerous time where I have to tell him how something is to go and he do it his way also had trouble with the town that he bounce several check for the permits and this is a Certificate of Approval permit not Certificate of Occupancy he do not know what he is doing at all need to get his facts straight, Basically for the balance of the money for a unfinished bathroom that we had to complete knowing he is not getting paid for it he received the second half of the check amount of $7,and he completed half of my bathroom did not do my shower door gave me uneven walls and mess up my vanity did not complete the bathroom with the tiles left grout all over the tub walls floor and in the shower did not clean anything up left open in the ceiling had the ceiling beam uneven so no he is not getting the balance of the amount it will be deducted for the work that I had to complete that he did not complete other then that I will be speaking to his lawyer so until then this man is a lair and a cheat to his customer I gave him the up most respect to let him come in to my home to remolding it and this is what I get nothing in return to show he did good work he really turn my eyes around on buying a home and trusting a contractor to come in to help you put value to your home which all he did was destroy it in the long runSo the last day of work for him with me was October he came and pick his tools up and that was the day I told him not to come back being that he was not finish doing the bathroom which he went over the time line that the attorney had set for him to completeSo I was left on doing the shower door painting the bathroom finishing the tiles and re doing the vanity and fixing the beam and closing the opening in the ceiling and the window also had to put a vent going out to the attic for the microwave to vent out of the house and the vent in my bathroom he had it only going in my attic with no vent going out of the house which could cause mildew and mold for the wet steam from the bathroomSo all this said I will deal with the attorney in this matter and this is not resolved
