Wheat Ridge, CO inspected this vehicle and did not advise us of any major mechanical issues and we elected to fix a few minor issues and to have a preformed lube, oil and filter service preformed. We were asking $11999 for the 2003 [redacted] S10 Pick up but the [redacted] negotiated the price to $8500 and purchased the vehicle signing of the State, Federal and bank documents required to complete the sale. [redacted] our sales manager explained to the [redacted] that were not making now money on this after paying the salesman commission and that we would go ahead and sell the vehicle if they tried to bring some referrals and their future business. In fact, the profit was $108.96 before commissions and $-41.04 after commission was paid. A few days after the sale the [redacted] called the store to tell [redacted] that there was some oil drops on the ground and they were taking their S10 to their mechanic to get it checked out. [redacted] let them know that they bought the vehicle AS-IS, they signed the AS-IS form, they refused the warranty that we offered them at the time of sale and reminded them that they negotiated the price to deal that didn't allow us to help them out of "Goodwill." The [redacted] called [redacted] again and told him that they wanted us to fix a number of issues the vehicle had according to their mechanic for approximately $1800. [redacted] reminded them of our position and offered to have our mechanic look at the vehicle and have it fix at our wholesale cost but the [redacted] would have to pay it. They were upset but agreed to take it to our mechanic and our mechanic said that the only issues that he would address would cost them about $1200 saving them about $600. The [redacted] called [redacted] again asking him to pay for the repairs and again [redacted] reminded them our position. The [redacted] were upset but I believe they proceeded to do the work at our mechanic to receive the discount and they paid for it. The [redacted] had every opportunity to take the vehicle to their mechanic before the sale and we wish they had. They were comfortable with the way the vehicle looked, the way it drove and none of us noticed any major leaks where the vehicle sat on the lot. The [redacted] made us a low ball offer that we regrettably accepted because we thought we were selling a great little truck for great deal and that we are building good relationships for the future. If the taxes were not already paid and the deal was not funded by the [redacted] I would offered to buy the vehicle back to try make them happy but to fix it would be out of the question. The [redacted] have gave us a bad review on [redacted] and are now trying to damage our reputation with the Revdex.com. We treat our customers right and normally I have room in a deal to help them more but in this case I have to say they did a great job negotiating the purchase for the S10 but they will have spend some money to fix the little issues that will come up because they bought it AS-IS and they did not want a WARRANTY. This compliant is unjust and should be disregarded.
