DYETECH, Inc. Reviews (2)

Hello,Thank you for taking the time to speak with me this morning. I wanted to respond to the complaint that was filed against HPT Lake, Inc.  by [redacted] A. [redacted] (Complaint ID:[redacted])I have spoken with [redacted] ([redacted]) on numerous occasions regarding the HVAC scheduling and status of his new...

home. He called and expressed that he had a water leak of some sort and was sure it was from our HVAC equipment. I explained that I could send someone out to fix it and he expressed that he had already had his workers take care of the drywall and leak issue (not licensed HVAC workers). He said the drywall cost him $1,000.00 to repair and since he was not sure if it was our fault as well he wanted [redacted] to agree to pay $400.00 to settle his issue.  [redacted] Hinrichsen the owner had gone out and looked at the area [redacted] alleged was caused from our equipment. [redacted] explained to [redacted] that is was not possible for our equipment to cause the damage he was claiming.  [redacted] also stated  in the Revdex.com complaint that the gas issue was from HPT Lake, Inc. but never addressed this with [redacted] at any time. He did speak to me about the issue with the gas and I asked him if he wanted us to come look at it and he said he had one of his workers already take care of it (again not a licensed HVAC technician). To appease the client ([redacted]), but not admitting to guilt or negligence I explained to him that I did not know if it was something that we had caused damage to but was willing to send him a check for the $400.00 as a good faith business gesture. He said he would not accept a check and wanted me to provide him with cash as he had paid his workers cash. I explained to him that I could not give him cash that I needed all transactions for the Corporation to be on paper. He explained he was not happy with this solution and may seek out legal action. At this time I feel HPT Lake, Inc. did act in good faith with [redacted] ([redacted]) [redacted] regarding the complaint he has filed with the Revdex.com (Complaint ID [redacted]). It is our policy to always abide by Contracting and State of California regulations. We are listed as a Corporation and abide by the guidelines set forth regarding payments in cash. I am requesting the complaint that has been filed to be dismissed as the reason for the complaint is not justified. Sincerely,[redacted].Vice President

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.1. There was NEVER any request for $1,000, only the $400 that we paid to repair the drywall from the leak of the AC unit above it. [redacted] came out and looked at the unit and saw the damage done to the drywall BEFORE we had it fixed, he said to have it fixed and he would pay for it. The water was coming from the AC equipment. We had the same person repair the drywall who put it in. He came on his own time after work and yes, we paid him cash, but we did not ask for cash from HPT Lake, a check would have been fine. We also could provide a statement from the drywall people who fixed the drywall, that was not a problem, HPT Lake never asked for it. There was NEVER any offer to pay the $400 and it was NEVER stated that I would not accept the $400 and wanted $1000. That is an untrue statement by HPT Lake, Inc. 2. The gas leak was found by a General Contractor who has been in the business for 30 years. He was up in the attic to check on why the fan in the kitchen was not working. He smelled the gas and had me bring up a spray bottle of soapy water and we found that the gas line was never tightened properly. Gas had been leaking up there for months. Luckily we had not used the furnace as it was summer, what would have happened had we used the furnace with that gas leaking in the attic?? We were not going to leave the gas leaking and wait for HPT Lake to show up to "check it out." While the "Licensed General Contractor" was up there, he tightened the gas line. He is willing to testify on our behalf on what he found. When the gas leak was discovered, as well as the noncompliance with fixing the drywall, and being told "it's not my problem" by [redacted], that is poor business conduct. The complaint stands, it is justified.
Regards,
[redacted].
