I took my watch in for a band repair in midsummer of At the same time I was convinced to also replace the crystal face on the watchI was given an estimated time of four to six weeks for the part to be ordered and the repair completedSo far so goodFour weeks passesNo word from Dykman'sSix weeks passesNothingTwo months, four, sixNothing, nothing nothingFinally fed up I call asking about my watch, hoping they just hadn't correctly recorded my phone number perhapsInstead I find out that while replacing the crystal something fell out of place and they haven't put it back togetherBut I'm told that it will be fixed in the next day or two and they will definitely call meNot pleased, but accepting I confirm they have my correct phone number and hang upDo you suppose I got called two days later? NoNo I did notThree months later I go to the shopThe repair man who took my watch doesn't recognize me, or my nameIt takes them minutes to even find my watchSurprise surprise it is in exactly the same condition as it was three months previous and the excuse I'm given for why it isn't repaired yet is, get this, he hasn't been able to find the timeIn eight monthsThis company has lied to me on three separate occasionsI took my watch to them for repairs, they broke itThey didn't tell me they broke itThey stuck it in a drawer and hoped I would forget about it and they would never hear from me againAs I write this review the watch is still not fixedDo not patronize this business
A few months ago I brought a watch in to Dykman's to have the battery replaced I spent nearly an hour waiting for them to perform this service, but when they were done, the watch did indeed work once again Recently, I noticed that the watch was steaming up when worn This struck me as odd, since I had thought it was at least water resistant I took off the watch band, and discovered that Dykman's had not only replaced the battery, they had also, and without explaining to me why, replaced the entire back of the watch The new back did not fit the curve of my watch, and so did not fit it, allowing air and moisture to enter the watch freely The watch was not particularly rare or expensive, but paying a company for a service and subsequently discovering that the company had also effectively damaged what I had brought in to be repaired was very upsetting for meI contacted them a few weeks ago and sent them photographs of the watch and its ill-fitting back So far, I have had no
