Dynamic Kitchens Reviews (4)

Review: We first contracted this company on 3/**/2013 to make kitchen cabinets for our home. The job of making and staining was to take between 8-12 weeks which means they should have been ready to install by approx. July 2013. It is now 10/*/13 and the job is not completed. It is down to final stages of the job. Every time you call him he sets a time and date then never shows nor calls to re-schedule. He made arrangements with my wife to come this past Monday [9/**/13] but still didn't show up nor call. He made the comment that "I'll put it in blood that he would be there."So as of now the job from 3/**/13 til now is about 26 weeks.Desired Settlement: Want our Kitchen finished and this matter closed to our satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]While the matter has been completed it was finally completed after I made this complaint. While I understand somethings in life alter the out come waiting over 20 weeks to complete a job that should have taken 14 weeks is just not acceptible.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: Dynamic Cabinets repaired some molding on our built in bar that was damaged by Superstorm Sandy. They were paid in full but were supposed to return the next day to finish the nail heads and stain the nailheads. I have called at least 5 times to have them come and finish the job and on my last voice mail told him that If I didn't hear from him then I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com as well as Suffolk County consumer affairs. As of today, I have not heard from them.Desired Settlement: Complete the job

At this time, I have not been contacted by Dynamic Kitchens regarding complaint ID [redacted].

Review: Dynamic Kitchens & Furniture made & Installed kitchen cabinets for us, It took him months to finish the job, he would make appointments and never show up after many phone calls would show up and only do a few things. He did the job on a drips & drab basis. We gave him the appliance specs of all the appliances and the oven cabinet had to be taken out & readjusted 3 times. It's only been 3 months and the paint is peeling and cracking! [redacted] ([redacted]) NEVER came back to finished a cabinet inside that was suppose to be for trays it's just a large open cabinet inside w/ no shelves or dividers for which the cabinet was specified for! He also installed soft closes that don't work! cabinets have to me pushed closed because they don't close on it's own. He never came back to finish off with touch up paint where the moulding was nailed in. I asked his son on several occasions for some touch up paint and they never came back; he would say we'll be coming to do the touch up don't worry! At the beginning of the job We discussed in length the paint finish Because 90% of the kitchen is a painted wood finish, and we know someone else (after we signed with him) who was not happy with his paint finish and they were experiencing the same issues with the paint finish (chipping & cracking)! He promised us he was going to use a better paint product and that we would not have a problem because it was a stronger and better quality paint! Dealing with DYNAMIC KITCHENS & FURNITURE was not only a terrible and stressful experience but we received an inferior cabinet which we were told all his work was custom! He lied constanly about his time frame and and calling him and his son was like calling and talking to a deaf ear!Desired Settlement: We would like to get the cabinets touched-up, and the inside of the cabinet over the oven finished so that it can be utilized for trays or even shelves. we would also like for the paint peeling to be refinished! And for the cabinets where the soft close aren't working to be replaced.

To whom it may concern:

Dynamic Kitchens & Furniture Inc. will gladly return to the [redacted] residence to finish the job under the condition that the balance of $702.00 be paid in full. Dynamic Kitchens contract has clear terms that follow for each and every consumer we deal with. The terms are as follows: 1/3 upon contract write up, 1/3 within 40 days of the contract write up and final balance due upon delivery of primary kitchen cabinets. Each client we have follows these guidelines and we move through the process smoothly. [redacted] took it upon herself to hold back her second deposit for an additional sixty (60) days. Eventually she delivered the second deposit after a considerable amount of effort. She complains that her kitchen was late, however, we fund each job with that clients deposits, her choice to withhold the deposit money only compounded the very issue she is complaining about. We also allowed [redacted] and her husband to hold back monies although it violated the terms that she herself agreed to. [redacted] also goes on to complain about chipping and peeling. We use a heavy acrylic based sealant and lacquer on all of our kitchens, like anything in existence, it must be maintained to be preserved. We install anywhere between forty and sixty kitchens per year. All of them are built with the same materials, we use everything we told her we would use. [redacted]Delprete has a fully functional, fully installed kitchen that was custom designed by her. All the molding, hardware are also installed. There are minor touch ups and a divider to be made, most of these touch ups are due to wear and tear which will occur on any kitchen without proper maintenance. Again, we will absolutely return to the residence and fulfill our end of the job to touch up and finish any minor details that [redacted] requires. We simply require her to make the final payment of $702.00 upon our arrival, we will then proceed to complete the job. Had [redacted] paid for the product according to the terms there wouldn't have been such a laundry list of problems. [redacted] Delprete has a fully functional, fully installed kitchen that was custom designed by her. All the molding, hardware are also installed. There are minor touch ups and a divider to be made, most of these touch ups are due to wear and tear which will occur on any kitchen without proper maintenance.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This is to respond to Dynamic Kitchen's response,

First We do not owe Dynamic Kitchens any monies, we are paid in Full and if we did owe him anything he would have been calling and screaming for his balance because he is a desperate man!

His response made the kitchen experience sound like it went very smoothly, and on Time......We didn't even sign anything! We gave him a check and he wrote up (in sloppy writing) an Invoice On 4-**-12 at the bottom of the invoice he wrote in chicken scratch on the last

line...... Island stain? 40days next line 1/* 1/** Bal on Install

Day...... From the day we gave him the initial deposit on APRIL **, 2012, 40 days later he wanted another check of 1/3 which he NEVER talked about. I had not even ordered anything or discussed colors! So we did not want to hand over to him more money especially since we were getting such terrible feed back from other customers about his time frame and work ethic, telling people he's installing and never showing. We did give him the money after he fought and carried on! We even had to have a Lawyer send him a letter because he wasn't responding or getting back to us!

From the Initial writing of the invoice on April **, 2012 He wrote

8-12 weeks and he put in the final moulding on 8-**, 2013 This in it self speaks for it self!

Bottom Line I called and spoke to [redacted] and he gave me another

excuse on why they couldn't come! He NEVER asked for any money or said anything about a balance!

WE DON'T OWE HIM A DIME AND HE LEFT MY KITCHEN INCOMPLETE AND IT WAS NOT DONE USING A HEAVEY ACRYLIC SEALANT LACQUER AS HE SAID IN HIS RESPONSE!

I got another Kitchen Company to come in do the last of the touch ups and he said it wasn't the best finish or material used! He wouldn't touch it because of it's inferior workmanship and quality!

Also my soft close drawers and doors are non functional, he used a cheaper inferior soft close hinge, 90% of the doors and drawers have to be closed by hand!

(It was always an excuse, truck didn't start, truck was in an accident, the finisher didn't come in the finisher was sick and on & on.... Even I waiting and putting aside many days and they wouldn't show up! )

It's also Ironic that a cabinet tower which houses the wall oven, steam oven and a warming drawer and the top cabinet which isn't done no dividers are installed, is the cabinet that had to be taken out of the house because the openings were incorrect 3 times and the finish on the side had a brown smear on a almond light finish is now cracking at the joints!

Thank you

Sincerely,

Review: Dynamic

was 3 months late on delivering my custom cabinets. Whne he showed up to install the order and the color of the stain was not complete. Missing hardware and a cabinet.

Refuses to come back and finish unless paid before he comes back to the home. Horrible business manners and customer service. Extorting me.Desired Settlement: Would like my cabinets installed as ordered in a timely fashion

Response:

[redacted] hired us to build a custom kitchen in August 2014. Upon [redacted]'s request, we pushed the job off until the new year, upon this request he was completely removed from the 8-14 week time frame we give all of our clients on custom ordered kitchens. Upon [redacted]'s request, in the new year, he was placed back on the time frame. As soon as [redacted]'s contractor had installed and finished the floor, we installed the kitchen cabinets. On the day of his delivery and install one of the cabinets had to be re-sized, which we have done and installed. All of the hardware simply hadn't arrived on time, we received it and we installed it as well. As far as the color, it was chosen by the client, approved when they saw it in the factory before it went out, and then approved again by [redacted] once she had a good look at it in the home. As per the payment terms agreed upon and fully explained to [redacted] the minute he hired us, we expect to receive payment in the following manner: 1/3 upon signing of contract, 1/3 in 45 days and final payment upon delivery of custom cabinetry. We simply asked to be paid, we never extorted or threatened him in any manner, he received the product, we asked to be paid, he refused, we then asked to be paid upon our second trip to the home. Since then all has been resolved, we have installed the remaining items to his satisfaction and he still has not paid us.
