Dynamic Pain and Wellness Reviews (%countItem)

This business engages in deceptive billing and fraudulent billing practices. I asked specific prices before treatment
I asked for specific price of procedure with sedation. I was lied to. They only gave me part of the price and sprung the rest on me at the last minute. I also asked the price of initial visit and now seven months after that visit I am being billed for drug testing . I never had any drug testing done. Unable to speak with anyone at their offices or billing who will do anything. Their billing service said we only bill what they send

Desired Outcome

I want all the charges that I was not quoted removed. I want the charge for testing I never received removed. I want my payments to get processed when sent...not left sitting until check goes stale and then have it returned by my bank uncashed.

Dynamic Pain and Wellness Response • Mar 10, 2020

In response to the complaint that testing was never receiving, I would like to state that we do have a signed consent for the collection of the urine screening, results for the testing, and signed paperwork to bill the insurance for the lab services. Urine drug screening is performed for initiation of opioid treatment and it is medically necessary to monitor this for Pain Management patients.

The billing director has attempted to call customer multiple times to speak in regards to this. The billing director has not received any return return phone calls and has adjusted off the fee for the urinalysis.

Attempts to call customer: 2/25/20 9:40am, 2/27/20 3:30pm, 3/3/20 1:15pm, 3/9/20 11:00am

Our call center received a complaint from customer on 2/24/2020 where customer stated "she is going to show up at the clinic and make a scene about it". We request that if customer has any further questions on these charges or any other billing charges, they call XXX-XXX-XXXX and ask for the billing director to better explain potential office visit charges, procedure coinsurances, and urinalysis expense.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No. The business has again mischaracterized the situation. First of all before ever going there I made it clear I was seeking cortisone shots only not opioids or medication of any kind. I had an initial appointment at which this very point was discussed. Further, whether I did or did not sign documents or agree to a urine test it was still part of the office visit and thus when I asked for the cost of the visit should have been disclosed. Also, unnecessary drug testing is a known scam amongst pain clinics and even the insurance companies and regulators are becoming involved. Second to that a standard urine test should cost less than $100, not upwards of $1,000. Finally, the comment about me "making a scene" was deliberately taken out of context. What I said when I could get no assistance from either billing or the office over the phone was , "what do I have to do, go over there in person and make a scene?"

Trying to attach an update for complaint XXXXXXXX
Dr. *** PA *** at Dynamic Pain was successful in telling to take my business elsewhere. I have to tell the accident first. I was caulking cracks in the driveway concrete. I was on the small seat next to my compressor & used the handle on the compressor to stand my self up but I was 2/3 the way up and I fell back & of course handed on the the caulking gun mid way of my back. I was down & I can only stand by getting on my knees with my hands I move then back to my feet to finally stand. I was mad at the stupidity of what I had done. I am 63 & have problems if I stand up to fast I lose balance. Now I was fully up at 6"3' & down I went on my right falling like a tree. I tried to make it to the grass but failed. I told PA. *** the story of my fall: my chest bone was in pain on the right side, I was black & blue on my right side & could barely stand. I landing on my right hip with the ball & socket, in massive pain. My lower spine injections over road the back injections I just had. I was hurting. My mid spine was in pain. My right rib cage was letting was letting the brain know it was in pain. What else, my right shoulder at that time was in pain. I was hurt. I tried to fire PA *** but that is the one who I had to see. Well is first thing he looked for was the x-ray, his attitude was I could care less. He came within a frog's hair of trying to lay the blame at my feet. Then I told him the situation. I told him I could not sleep on my right side, back, or on my left side. When I came to the practice I had a bottle for 3 Lortabs a day, the Doc cut it back to 1 Lortab per day. I asked PA *** for a pain killer for 10 days that would take the pain away so I could sleep. He offered 1 sleep med which if he read the 2 printed medication list I turned the day after my first appointment in at the front desk with instructions to place one in the Doctor's hand and the other in my paper folder. Neither was done in my opinion. He offered some kind of nerve med which I can not take. No I'am sorry for your pain, no professional courtesy. The perscription was "ONE LORTAB PER DAY" & walk out. I ended up in the small waiting room in the corner & PA *** showed his true colors. HE was discussing a fishing boat with a friend, Paid full attention
& showed concern & passion about the boat.

PA *** is a hypocrite.

I'll will ask the Revdex.com for copies of the 2 complaints emailed to me. I'll print the .pdf(s) out and make an apopointmentto go over the .pdf(s). I have been thru the pain that must exist ***.

1. I was told by Dr *** that I may take my x-ray to any place that has a x-ray. Well I called Scared Heat Urgent Care they will not honor the x-ray scrip. I have to come in and let one of their doctors exam me and the doctor orders the x-ray or go to SH hospital. This was also true of The Santa Rosa Hospital Urgent Care on Hwy 90. So off to the SR hospital I went. Of course my anger was high, that a doctor did not tell me SR hospital, which is 3 stones toss away.
2. No one told me that I had to bring my pain med to the appointment. Therefore I could not receive the nessary pain med. Doc said just bring the med bottle to the front window and I would get a new pain script. NO NO NO the front desk would only let me have a new appointment that according to Medicare had the option to schedule me would have to be 1.5 to 2 weekdays away.
3. I had fallen twice on the driveway concrete on my right side. I am 6'3? and it is a long way down for me. I was hurt. I was black and blue on my right side. I was in serious pain, no joke, not fraudulently seeking pain meds.
4. Dynamic Pain would not even tell me the x-ray results. If a bad diagnosis I would certainly have made the necessary steps to go to the Andrew's Institute.
5. My hip still hurt painfuly. I am feel the pain in the ball and socket when I walk.

Desired Outcome

Finish the job Yes, I wish to fire Dr *** and see the other doc only AND by GOD don't tell me to take my bussiness to somewhere else. I promise you I'll call 911 for the cops before you throw me out of the building! _________________________________________________ *** Additional Information received from the consumer on 06/08/18 *** I don't know I got & eerie feeling when I saw the Post on the second door. It basically says to have a seat on the right. I said good, they have electronic tabs for check in. No deal. Went to the check in window. My chiropractor's office is paper less. This place is in the stone age, they use folders and paper. I haven't seen that type of file keeping for 5 maybe 10 years. What should I do? Have you another pain management in mind in Milton, if not Pensacola. Just remember the Pain Institute and how they put me into the hospital for 10 days of mental ***.

Dynamic Pain and Wellness Response • Jun 11, 2018

I will address the following complaints via numbers as Mr. has submitted.

To clarify, Dr. *** who the patient is referring to is our Physician's Assistant, Matthew *** He is not a doctor. Upon every initial new patient visit a patient sees one of our doctors and then for their follow up visits they will either see a doctor, Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Mr. came in for his first visit in April of 2018. He has since been seen for follow up visits and has had in house procedures performed to help alleviate his pain.

Mr. insurance does not require preauthorization to have an x ray done, therefore we print the x ray order and inform, then tell the patient that they can go to any x ray facility that they would like to have it done. We do not have control over the rules of other facilities.

Our providers never tell any patients that they promise to increase their pain medication, decrease their pain medication or change their pain medication. Upon their initial visit they are asked what medication they are currently taking and they sign a narcotic policy stating that we will now be taking over the prescribing of their narcotics and that they are unable to fill from any other provider. This is for the safety of the patient.

Mr. was last seen on, 5/31/2018 after he called on 5/25/2018 saying that he had an increase of pain. Our offices were closed on Monday, 5/28/2018 because of Memorial Day and that was the soonest appointment that we could get him seen. He was seen by Matthew *** PA (referred to as Dr. *** in Mr. complaint) and did not say anything to Matthew about not wanting to be seen by him or any complaints about his current care at DYNAMIC Pain & Wellness. He also did not mention that he wanted his medicine increased. He was agreeable to trying injections to heal his pain before any increase or change in medications.

At his visit on 5/31/2018 we had not received the results of the patient's x ray from Santa Rosa Medical Center, the facility that he went to, therefore we had him sign a form to consent to release his records so that we could request them from the x ray facility and we intend to go over the results once we receive them.

In addition, Mr. leaves frequent messages with our phone operators for one particular staff member in our Milton office, the office that he is seen in, that makes her extremely uncomfortable. Today, he left a note for her to call him. We ensure that she does not see him when he comes into the office because she is very uncomfortable in his presence.
