Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:We still have no idea that the roof is complete No proof that anyone came out to fix the repairsThe city can not get out to inspect for to weeks Sincerely, [redacted]

***,I would have expected a response back that would help us to determine a resolution Please help me understand why our suggested resolution doesn't work for you? Or please provide a reasonable resolution on your end I think both of us question that other sides ethical values, and my suggested resolution will help you understand exactly how we and the insurance company arrived at the final number In defense of my previous response, I would like to point out a few facts:-After we had already waited over a year to get paid, you requested that we wait until school got out a few months later, which we did wait I have a voicemail recording from you to prove that.-We reached out to you for almost years requesting payment, and we have phone records, as well as emails to prove that.-If the amount which you paid your siding company was accurate in your initial complaint, then you ended paying them thousands more than what your insurance company allotted to be paid That is a fact, as I have a copy of the insurance company payout We could only obtain that information from your insurance company if you authorized our company to work with the insurance adjuster.-We also had to wait while you worked with your mortgage company to get the funds released, as we were very patient the entire time Once the funds were released to you, we still waited to get paid.-It is a fact that the insurance company under valued the entire project, including the roofing If the insurance company didn't make a mistake, they would have not corrected their mistake by paying out extra money for the roofing and well over $10,for the other projects you had others working on We assisted in helping the insurance adjuster properly value the claim for items we weren't even getting paid for.-We were told several times that the insurance company only paid $7,for the roof but you were willing to pay just over $10, We were told and have a document from your insurance company stating that the roof payment with the overhead and profit was $15,000+ I have a voice recording of you stating on occasions that the insurance company only paid out $7,400, but I know that wasn't correct.-It is a fact that I requested several times that you and I get on the phone with the adjuster to make sure you understood what they paid out You refused to do it and I asked you why you wouldn't want to know for yourself, even though it's in writing I have this on voice recording as well.***, we waited patiently for years to receive a payment on a job you were satisfied with I didn't know what your reasoning was for having us wait, but I figured you were going through a hard time and that's why we waited We never got paid any interest which you agreed to in the contract Nor am I asking for interest at this time, as we simply wanted to get paid for our hard work and efforts in working for you.I'm still not sure why my response was rejected when I offered to reach out to the insurance company once again with you on the phone to verify the total roofing payment including overhead and profit which they agreed to pay on the claim per our request At any point in time, I am more than happy to get on the phone with you and place a call to your insurance company to help you understand

On June 4, 2014 [redacted] entered into a contract with Dynamic Roofing in Billings Montana.  This is a separate business than the Revdex.com accredited business in Denver, which has one of the same owners.  The contract was for the insurance proceeds with a starting price of $10,734.04, which...

is the exact amount which the insurance company originally offered.  The [redacted] also acknowledged that Dynamic would be billing their insurance company for any additional supplements, which the insurance company agreed they originally overlooked.  We were given specific instruction from Farm Bureau ([redacted] insurance carrier) to build the roof per code, take photos, document the differences, submit a final invoice to them, and they would pay the difference and send a supplemental payment to the [redacted] promptly, so they could reimburse us for the extra cost.  Please see attached contract which shows the agreement. Dynamic Roofing upgraded the type of shingle, added drip edge, ice and water shield, and built the roof system to code and manufacture specs.  The [redacted] also had other work besides the roof which the insurance company paid for but didn't pay enough money, such as siding.  We worked with the insurance company to move the claim from $16,052.36 to over $33,000 for the entire project.  The cost of the roofing portion of the project was increased from $10,734.04 to $15,521.23 which is a $4,787.19 increase which Farm Bureau realized their original mistake and happy pay the difference to the Walker's.  [redacted] contacted us when she needed us to work with her mortgage company and insurance company, but when it was time to collect the first payment, she wouldn't send the payment.  I was finally able to get in touch with her via phone and she requested that I wait because she couldn't pay.  I have a recording of the phone calls that I would be happy to send to the Walker's.  We completed the roof project in August 2014 and didn't receive one cent until September 2016.  Our company floated the cost of the entire project for over 2 years.  During that time, we never billed her for any interest, even though she agreed to pay interest after 45 days of completion per the agreement.  All we wanted was the payment which the insurance company agreed to pay us for the roofing portion of the claim.  Each time I spoke to [redacted] I heard the same 3 reasons why she couldn't pay: (1) They didn't have the money at the time and she wanted to wait until school started to deal with it, (2) they paid too much money to the siding company and didn't have enough left in the claim to pay the roofing portion, (3) she didn't think the insurance company had paid them enough money.  We waited until school was over, what the siding company charged and how much the [redacted] paid them has nothing to do with what the roof cost, and it has been confirmed that the insurance company paid out everything almost 18 months ago. The letter from our attorney stated that we would remove the lien for $10,000 and accept payments for the remaining amount of money due to equal the $15,000+ that was owed.  We offered to do this so the [redacted] family could refinance their home, which would allow them to pay us in full, since the insurance money allotted for the roof was used in other ways. [redacted], each time we spoke on the phone I tried to help you understand the process.  I think waiting for 2 years to get paid a penny for a quality roofing job shows that we have been extremely patient.  I'm sorry you feel we were not honest.  Attached is our contract which shows your signature for a sales price of $10,734.04 before supplements.  Supplements were all pre approved with your insurance company, and nothing came out of your pocket as we promised.  I think your comments of tiring to pay us are misleading, as you had our contact information, and you and I personally spoke on the phone for nearly a year, and you still wouldn't issue a payment.  We are entitled to overhead and profit since you can't expect us to work for free. Your complaint verifies that you paid the siding company $22,873.20 to your siding contractor, but your insurance paperwork states you only received $17,716.20 in total for siding.  At the end of the day, your deductible should have been your only out of pocket expense, but you overpaid some contractors and tried to take the difference from Dynamic Roofing, since we were the last to get payment from you. As a remedy to your problem, I would suggest we do a three way call with your insurance company so they can verify the exact amount allotted for the roof.  We both have this information in writing, but verbally is might be helpful for you to see how the numbers break down.  If we take the number of the roof and add in any interest over the last 2 years that wasn't paid, and if that number is less than $15,521.23, we will happily write you a check for the difference.  If you recall, I asked you to get on the phone with me so you could understand from the insurance company what they paid for the roof portion of the claim.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/10/22) */
Dear Mr and Mrs [redacted],
We are saddened that you are not satisfied and feel like our company didn't care about your needs. We understand your frustration regarding the siding. Your siding had not been maintained for years. It was spongey and had...

been painted onto the old shingles. We did our best to remove the old roofing without damaging the siding, but because it was painted onto the roof, the paint tore off the small section to. Touch up paint was required, but Dynamic Painted the entire Siding and Fascia area. It states in our contract that damaged siding due to improper maintenance is the liability of the homeowner and not Dynamic Roofing. However, in good faith, we went out and repainted all affected section and the sections surrounding them.
The inspection was called in and access ladders set last year. However, the City of Aurora did not come at the specified time and failed to inform us of the mishap. We went months assuming that the inspection had been satisfied. We apologize deeply or this misunderstanding. Mr [redacted] called us a few weeks ago and requested we have the roof inspected again. This is the first time we knew that the inspection had not occurred. We called the City of Aurora that day and scheduled the inspection. The City of Aurora is so backed up on roofing inspections that we were informed that the inspection would occur in 3-5 weeks. A few days later, you made a Revdex.com complaint because the inspection had not occurred.
We feel badly that this situation has presented itself in the way it has. We are doing everything within our power to rectify the problems in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience and hope that the City building department can soon catch up on its inspections.
Sincerely,
Dynamic Roofing & Construction, LLC

[redacted],I would have expected a response back that would help us to determine a resolution.  Please help me understand why our suggested resolution doesn't work for you?  Or please provide a reasonable resolution on your end.  I think both of us question that other sides ethical values, and my suggested resolution will help you understand exactly how we and the insurance company arrived at the final number.  In defense of my previous response, I would like to point out a few facts:-After we had already waited over a year to get paid, you requested that we wait until school got out a few months later, which we did wait.  I have a voicemail recording from you to prove that.-We reached out to you for almost 2 years requesting payment, and we have phone records, as well as emails to prove that.-If the amount which you paid your siding company was accurate in your initial complaint, then you ended paying them thousands more than what your insurance company allotted to be paid.  That is a fact, as I have a copy of the insurance company payout.  We could only obtain that information from your insurance company if you authorized our company to work with the insurance adjuster.-We also had to wait while you worked with your mortgage company to get the funds released, as we were very patient the entire time.  Once the funds were released to you, we still waited to get paid.-It is a fact that the insurance company under valued the entire project, including the roofing.  If the insurance company didn't make a mistake, they would have not corrected their mistake by paying out extra money for the roofing and well over $10,000 for the other projects you had others working on.  We assisted in helping the insurance adjuster properly value the claim for items we weren't even getting paid for.-We were told several times that the insurance company only paid $7,400 for the roof but you were willing to pay just over $10,000.  We were told and have a document from your insurance company stating that the roof payment with the overhead and profit was $15,000+.  I have a voice recording of you stating on 2 occasions that the insurance company only paid out $7,400, but I know that wasn't correct.-It is a fact that I requested several times that you and I get on the phone with the adjuster to make sure you understood what they paid out.  You refused to do it and I asked you why you wouldn't want to know for yourself, even though it's in writing.  I have this on voice recording as well.[redacted], we waited patiently for 2 years to receive a payment on a job you were satisfied with.  I didn't know what your reasoning was for having us wait, but I figured you were going through a hard time and that's why we waited.  We never got paid any interest which you agreed to in the contract.  Nor am I asking for interest at this time, as we simply wanted to get paid for our hard work and efforts in working for you.I'm still not sure why my response was rejected when I offered to reach out to the insurance company once again with you on the phone to verify the total roofing payment including overhead and profit which they agreed to pay on the claim per our request.  At any point in time, I am more than happy to get on the phone with you and place a call to your insurance company to help you understand.

The amount of lies is staggering to me.  I don't even know what to say.  We did not overpay the siding company, nor at anytime did we say that the insurance didn't pay us what we were expecting.  The insurance never realized their mistake and pay an extra $4787.19 to pay happily to Dynamic.  I am dumbfounded at Dynamic's dishonesty and what they will do to take money from people.

Mr [redacted], Thank you for your last response. I would be happy to provide you with an itemized invoice for the work which Dynamic has completed as well as a proposal for any work that you would like Dynamic to complete in the near future. Per the contract, the invoice will match to the penny with what your insurance company has allocated for the work to be completed.
In answer to your question regarding the process of billing the insurance company. Per the contract, you requested that we negotiate a fair settlement with your insurance company for work to be completed on your project. If we don't complete all of the work we are not entitled to your insurance funds. Those funds are yours to keep. We don't charge an additional amount to negotiate your claim, as it is included with our normal services. It's a free service that we offered in order to assist you with receiving the proper funds to get the work completed by Dynamic or another contractor of your choice.
Regarding the work that Dynamic did complete, we're billing the exact dollar amount that the insurance company paid, per the contract. This ensures that you won't pay a penny more than what you're insurance company has allocated. We also included several free upgrades to bring your roof up to code, without charging any additional fees.
Mr [redacted], would you allow me to visit your property with you present to review the work completed thus far? I believe this will be the most efficient way to ensure we're on the same page. This will allow me to share with you in detail the proposed cost for painting, gutters, etc while seeing if you would like us to complete the rest of the work. Once I know exactly what additional work you would like us to complete I can prepare an exact and detailed bill. The additional work will not cost you any money out of pocket as the insurance company is covering the cost due to Dynamic working with them on pricing.
Please feel free to contact me on my personal cell at [redacted] to set up an appointment or to ask any questions regarding your insurance claim. Thank you!

Mr [redacted], I would like to take a moment to respond to your complaint. It appears that you have three requests which we can accommodate each very easily. In addition to answering your questions I would like to add some detail that might be of benefit. For flow and easy of understanding I would...

like to address your requests from last to first if possible.
Your final request from Dynamic was to send you a letter stating that you don't owe us any money as well as well as an itemized ledger which reflects a zero balance. Dynamic is unable to forgive debt which is owed on the project for the items which we did complete at your request, so we're unable to provide you with a zero balance since you still us Dynamic money. Furthermore, we cannot understand your reasoning for requesting an itemized ledger with a zero balance when your other two questions indicate that you're not certain of what work you wanted Dynamic to complete in the first place.
Your second request for Dynamic was to send you a letter with all the work that we agreed to complete. In reviewing the contract it is clear that the only work you requested we complete was the roof and painting per the insurance proceeds. Please see under Services and Materials section in the contract for reference. After the contract was signed, you requested that Dynamic replace 4 window screens, a broken window, and complete a drywall repair in the garage caused by the hail damage. All of this work has been completed. This is the work which Dynamic had on file that you requested to be completed up until October 2015 when you requested verbally that we replace two gutters on your property as well. For an itemized statement of work to be completed on your property, please contact Liberty Mutual as they are the provider of this information.
The work that Dynamic wasn't contracted to complete was: 7LF of glazing bead on a window for $14.84, replacement of 33LF of gutter for $190.54, Comb the AC condenser fins for $209.98, Direct vent termination cap for $534.39 and lastly a furniture cover for $86.40. This totals $1,036.15 which is yours to hire a contractor of your choice.
On October 14, 2015 we received a call from Liberty Mutual and they informed us that the total amount paid on the claim was $11,339.16. If you subtract the work which you have not asked us to complete ($1,036.15) the total amount of work completed by Dynamic is $10,303.01. We have only received $8,346.59 to date and are due another $1,956.42. Once we receive the final payment we will send you a paid in full receipt with a zero balance per your request. You are absolutely free to hire the remaining work out to other contractors as we were never contracted to complete the above items in the first place.
Please let Dynamic know when we can expect a final payment for work completed. With your permission we are happy to reach out to Liberty Mutual and ask them to send you updated numbers and an itemized list to avoid any future confusion. Thank you!
