I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Everything in contractors response is falseWe have a signed quote prior to the interior painting project began that clearly states "multiple colors and ceilings white throughout the house"I never exploited him on Facebook, his name nor bussiness was ever mentioned in a negative way on FacebookWe offered to pay him the remainder of the money that was owed upon completion of the project and was told by contractor to "f* off and that he wasnt coming back" and that we needed to "finish it ourselves", all of which we have proof and documentation ofWe have pictures of the paint that was spilled on the floors, paint left on ceilings, trim still left un-painted, doors left un-painted, color touch up's done in the wrong paint color, reciepts from the paint store from all the paint we had to buy to complete the projectHe has told us many times that "he was done with us" and that he didnt want our money for which we then had to complete the project ourselvesIf he could have just been mature enough to acknowledge what he did and that he was wrong, things would have been different

I met with *** *** in the winter of and he wanted me to paint the exterior of his current house in spring, which was completed as agreed uponHe then hired me to paint his new house, which is currently still being completedI painted the exterior in April of 2015, which was completed
and entirely paid out onI have pictures showing the completed work as well, and was told by the ***’s that they were happy with my workThey then wanted their interior painted, which hadn’t been startedAfter waiting two months for the start date, I went in with my crew and started workFrom the get-go, it has been nothing but a hassleI gave the ***’s a discount bid (which I have a copy of) showing the work I would be doingThe bid was for ONE color on the wall and ceilings*** added numerous colors after I started, expecting it for freeFrom day one they started complaining of my work, stating there was touch ups to be done immediatelyI explained to them that I paint the whole house, and then after every contractor is out I come back in the last two days to touch up and finishWith so many contractors coming in and out, there are constant dings and marks made on the walls, hence the reason for waiting to completely finish until they are completed with their workI work for a handful of builders in the valley, and this is standard protocol for any painterI would wake up daily to lengthy text messages from both *** and ***, which I have proof ofThese text messages had vulgar language and were very unprofessionalI did speak to them numerous, yet would still continue to receive text messagesI had a crew of workers on the job every week at the house, and have proof of their hours and times they were thereI was there myself working, all while *** was in the other room talking badly of me not knowing I could hearThis happened several timesMy workers started to feel uncomfortable even going to work there, for when they would show up *** would talk bad about our work, business, and myselfAll we wanted to do was work and leave any issues aside, yet was unable to with *** constant gossipIt got to the point where the text messages were harassment as well as verbal abuseMy workers would paint a full day, and when we’d show up the next day *** and *** had sanded down all our work from the previous day and expected me to repaint itThis happened more times than I can count, and is not my responsibility to fix what they ruinedNowhere in my contract does it state that I will fix what the homeowner decides to sand and ruin themselvesI would also finish painting a room, and they would decide to add color themselves and get paint on my finished product, yet expect me to fix itI was appalled with their requests and actionsAs a business owner who takes pride in his work and works for many respectable builders, I have never worked or witnessed a homeowner doing such actsThe ***’s took full advantage of me and treated me in the most disgraceful way possibleI tried numerous times to work it out with Steve, working late hours and going above and beyond, but there comes a point where enough is enoughI have proof from my workers that we worked long hours at this job, and every time we would come back something would be “ruined” not by our doingWe couldn’t keep fixing what we didn’t ruinIn response to their complaint, I never refused to workI had workers there weekly, and I tried to meet with them multiple times after the tension escalatedThe immaturity of the text messages I received versus calling or meeting has this made this situation blow upThe ***’s did not have to sand or paint anything in their house, they chose to go back over my work and do this themselves even though I hadn’t even finished or touched up the job yetI was never given over months to complete the job; the interior wasn’t even ready to be painted until month ago! The exterior was completed and was payed out on months agoThe ***’s had new siding installed in a section months AFTER I completed the exterior, which is not my responsibility to paintThe ***’s still owe me $900, which I have yet to receiveWe agreed to go separate ways last week, after hitting a point where there was no coming to an agreementI have heard numerous contractors complaining about the same issues I had while working on the jobI do not wish for anybody to have to work with the ***’s, for they will take full advantage of you by lying and sabotaging your business to get more money*** called me a “liar” many times, and even went to the extreme of calling a builder I work forShe was mad I wouldn’t hang all the doors in their house, which was not in the bid, nor is my responsibility as the painterShe stated that all painters hang doors and was trying to make me do itAfter explaining to her multiple times that it is the finish carpenters responsibly, she still didn’t believe meTo her surprise, my builder confirmed what I said was 100% accurate and trueThis is just one example of their actions and childishness*** also exploited me on Facebook, talking about how bad her paint job was and stating I wasn’t showing up, even though I had a crew at her house all dayI am in business to make people happy and make quality workI have been painting since I was little, and have never had a poor experience such as thisI will not work for the ***’s ever againI am upset that they didn’t let me finish my work, and are now stating how poor the job looks knowing that it’s not fully completedWhatever paint, tools or materials they bought is not my responsibilityThey chose from day one to go back over my work and add to their house out of their own pocketThey didn’t want to pay for more colors, and decided to paint extras themselvesThey cannot come back now saying I owe them for the paint, for they were painting walls on their own outside of my bidI left ALL the paint I used at their house, which is more than enough for touch upInstead of putting a lien on their house for non payment, I had decided to go separate waysHowever, now that they are going to this extreme, that might have to be the best route for me to take
