Revdex.com Serving New Jersey 1262 Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road Building A, suite 202 Hamilton, NJ 08690 February 28, 2015 Reference: Complaint ID [redacted] DZ Contractors Dear Sirs, This is a response to your letter dated February 20, 2015, advising me of a complaint filed about my...

business. The complaint accuses DZ CONTRACTOR, LLC of several things, which I will address in the corresponding order of the complaint. DZ CONTRACTOR, LLC is accused of leaving uncompleted electric work, which is entirely not the case. My business performed various jobs in the home of the customer; we refinished hardwood flooring, painted the house, etc. Upon working on these mentioned items which we were hired to do, the customer asked for the cost to cancel the halogens lights located in the basement and garage area. We verbally discussed the cost of the electric job and she declined the work due to its cost. She did however ask to disconnect them so they would not work, which we did to comply with her request. The complaint received states that the customer had to hire an electrician to fix this, which was exactly what we discussed first and she denied due to the cost. We verbally spoke and advised her of the need of the job because it posed safety hazards but she declined the work and decided to leave things as they were. We were not hired to perform this work therefore this work was not left incomplete by DZ CONTRACTOR LLC. In reference to the smoke detectors not being removed for painting is completely false. The ceiling smoke detectors were removed and replaced with those purchased by the customer. When I completed my job they were re-tested and were left functioning welt. The wall paper that the customer purchased was used in her bathroom and none was leftover. Lastly, the customer complains about DZ CONTRACTOR, LLC making a shelf on her premises using her wood. This is absolutely untrue. Every piece left was put in the dumpster that was rented for the project as accorded in the contract. Every job we were hired to do was done in a professional and timely manner. The client expressed her budget constraints on several occasions and DZ CONTRACTOR, LLC did everything we could to accommodate to it. We bought all the needed supplies at cost under our name so the client would not pay any additional cost for it. In addition to this I sent professional painters to re-test her walls, since she complained of paint coming off the walls after project was completed. After several inspections were done, we explained to the customer that since she requested flat paint to be used, walls can not be wiped with water because the paint will come out. This was due at no cost, all which is not mentioned in the complaint. Once we could not continue to perform additional work for free, the customer became unsatisfied. My business has been in existence for many years and this is the first time we receive a complaint. We have many references that will attest that we are an ethical, dedicated and professional company. Please see attached a copy of some of my clients that can be contacted if necessary. We try to do everything in our power to work with customers to help them complete their desired home improvement projects at a reasonable cost. Furthermore, in some cases such as this one, we even go beyond by helping them purchase materials ourselves so they may receive contractor discounts, etc., all in an effort to help the customer and keep them satisfied. However, we are not a non for profit organization and this costumer became upset once I stopped doing things for free and retaliated in this manner. We will not be held responsible for work that was not performed by us and left incomplete by someone else. We will not be accused of stealing material that was in fact used and disregarded after work was completed. We hope this response will suffice the complaint and please do not hesitate to contact us at [redacted] should you have any questions. Sincerely, David Z[redacted] DZ Contractor, Owner References [redacted]- [redacted] Mr. Justin Z[redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]
