Seems like a quality job. Time will tell. If you hire this company, make sure that EVERY last thing is written down. We have gone over the contracted price by 1400.00 dollars. First the driveway ledge could not be widened by as much as promised. Drill bits were broken and they went "over budget" on that part of the job. Another stone company came in and did a wonderful job finishing E& B's rock chipping and widened the opening even more than we had asked, but we paid the entire cost of this extra contractor. Splitting the overage would have been fair. At the end of this job, we are now paying extra for the dirt to finish off the outline of the driveway and for the labor to rake it all. Really???? To reiterate, the quality looks nice, but if you hire this company, make sure every detail of the job is written down.

Review: This man, [redacted] knocked on our door and said that he noticed that our driveway was in need of repair. He represented that he could solve our problems for $750.00. I will get every thing in writing in the future. I asked him if he could do the large frozen puddles as well as the soft spits near the house. H assured me that could be done and that he had an adequate supply .

After doing say a quarter of our driveway so that my wife could see if the surface is acceptable. He asked me should he continue and I say ok. When he ran out of supply he came to my house and he said it would cost $2500.00 to finish the job and that I owed him $1350.00

I reacted that this was a hoax perpetrated on me for profit. I should have paid him only $750. as we agreed but I gave him a revised charge of $1200.

I want to prevent others from falling for this act and its cost.

I told him that this was a sham and I will never do anything with anybody without getting it in writing.Desired Settlement: I expect the difference between what I paid and was was offered. That is $1200. -$750.= $450.00

Review: E&B Asphalt & Landscaping was contracted to patch, fill cracks and seal my driveway in late May with the stipulation the work was to be commenced during the 4th week of June. The contract was signed by me and initial payment was sent with the request that E&B Asphalt & Landscaping provide me with a copy of the contract with a proposed start and completion date and signed by an authorized representative of E&B Asphalt & Landscaping. The signed copy was never received nor was a proposed start and completion date provided as required by the State of [redacted] I called E&B Asphalt & Landscaping during the 3rd week of June to inquire about an expected start date. I was told the work would commence during the latter part of the 4th week of June, the work did not commence at that time. The following week I called E&B Asphalt & Landscaping again to inquire about the expected start date and was told the work would start the latter part of the week, i.e. the 2nd or 3rd of July. The work crew finally showed up late morning on Friday the 3rd of July and worked until about 7 pm that evening. It was clear in watching the crew perform their work the process was hurried and as a result some of the cracks were inadequately filled and the sealer was applied too quickly which resulted in insufficient coating in spots. Also, their equipment leaked oil onto the driveway in at least one spot resulting in the seal coat not adhering as intended. In summary, the crew's hurried performance during a late Friday afternoon just before a holiday weekend did not meet the expected quality of workmanship.Desired Settlement: Since I have paid the full contract price as contracted I would like E&B Asphalt & Landscaping to return at the earliest possible date and rectify the poor workmanship of the contracted work.

To Regarding the Complaint by [redacted], There was a misunderstanding, he did not understand that doing 2 coats of sealcoat is needed to be put down separately. When we did one coat, and left he over reacted said the driveway was not completed. We told him it would more coat. We apologize to the customer that he was not happy.
