Review: On Saturday, April 27, 2013, I contacted **. [redacted] in regards to getting an estimate on the job I wanted done on my property. He issued me an estimate of $550.00. The items that needed to be reparied were: the front steps (mine and my neighbor's, paint the storm door, paint the railing,paint a gated fense, repair the rotten wood above the house and paint the siding. That same day I issued him a check of $225.00 as a down payment. After leaving my property, he returned to my home to give me back the check that I had written and I in turn issued him $225.00 in cash. On April 28, 2013 he returned to my home with his staff (helper, wife and daughter). He was not professionally prepared. For example, he asked me for supplies such as bags, etc. Furthermore, he did not come with a tarp, nor did he bring supplies of his own needed to perform the job.**. [redacted] first started to work on the wood above my front door. The wood was cut inaccurately and because of this innaccuracy he needed to put a divider. The cement work that he did for the conjoined steps (for my neighbor and I) appeared to look sandy. It is already chipping. Also, he got paint (black, white and silver enamel paint) on my steps, grill, railing, and awning. In my opinion, the work that he did was very sloppy because he did not take the time to ensure that the work that he was performing was up to standard.Next, he worked on my wood siding and door. He slopped the paint right onto the wood without applying primer.Witout completing the portion of the work at the front of my home, he began to work in the rear of my home. He removed the old rotten wood from my garage area, and then started to pick up some debris leaving the rest of the debris on the ground. He then stated that he will pick up the debris the next time that he returns. I observed, that once he removed the wood that the cinder blocks needed to be fixed. He then stated that I needed to pay him the rest of the money. So I issued him a $325 check.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the amount of $325.00.
