The service technicians, in particularly [redacted] , potentially saved my life as well as my family'sUpon a routine maintenance servicing in 9/16, [redacted] informed me of a fuel leak which was evidenced by a fuel stain in the rear and the top of the fuel tank and urged me to bring the minivan to the dealership immediatelyHe took the time to investigate a manufacturer warranty recall in involving the fuel pump and [redacted] also called the dealership to discuss my situation and that I will be coming overAlthough I had this fuel pump replaced under warranty before, to my surprise, the staff at the dealership said the previous issue had been fixed and the stain was an old oneBecause [redacted] was concerned, he asked that I keep him up to date in the futureI've owned over a dozen of cars in the past and no one has ever cared nor bothered to be informed after my cars left their shops [redacted] recommended that I call the auto company headquarters to file a case report should anything happen in the futureA month later, I brought back my minivan to Spiteri's for a smog test and [redacted] noted that the fuel stain was larger than before and again he called the dealership on my behalf relaying our concerns and that I'll be backHowever, after inspection, I was shocked and frustrated that they said everything was fine againBoth their senior mechanic and service manager showed me that the tank was dryThe staff at the dealership was courteous and also said I should call the headquarters to file a case report should I need the warranty work to be extended in the futureShortly afterwards, I noted an extremely strong fuel smell and saw an active gas leak on the rear of the fuel tank and on the driveway After returning a 3rd time to the dealership, they found a crack on the fuel tank which was not related to the previous warranty workFor some reason, the gas leak only showed up under certain conditionsThe tank has now been replacedSpiteri's service was the best I have ever experiencedHad it not been for [redacted] 's concern, being adamant and vigilant, I would not have had the knowledge nor concern to follow through with this leak, especially when I was told twice by the dealership that there was no problemThe average person would not crawl beneath their autos to inspectMore importantly, you will not see or read in the news that there were injuries or fatalities because of a fuel related explosion, thanks to [redacted] Share review Write an update Edit review Delete review
