We received a letter from the Revdex.com on July 29, with Mr [redacted] ’s comments regarding e-Cycle’s initial responseWe called Mr [redacted] on July 29, and had a very positive, and productive conversation We issued him a check that afternoon to fully resolve the matter We sincerely appreciate Mr [redacted] 's feedback, willingness to clarify this situation, and look forward to serving his business' wireless recycling needs in the future

Revdex.com: I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to me

I am rejecting this response because:it may be true that I am not educated in your field of businessMy education in this area was based on past experience with your companyI always received much more for my iPhone's than you presently are offering meI was very disappointed in the offering you gave meBut here is my main objectionsFirst of all, regardless of what you say and obviously don't feel there is possibility of an error on your evaluation of my iPhone, my phone worked absolutely perfect when I packaged it up and sent it to e-cycleSecondly, I was never notified that the phone was received and most importantly, I was never informed that e-cycle deemed that the phone was, e-cycle's eyes, not working properlyAt least not until I emailed MrPand found out that e-cycle had already made the decision and disposed of my phone however they do so I would have asked to have the phone returned to me and sell the phone through other meansAnd please don't put words in my mouthI said in an email that on eBay, iPhone 5s are selling for around $I did not say I expected $but quite honestly,I did not expect $or even $The offer of a car charger was,in my eyes, a way to appease meI can accept the fact that I am not educated in the reselling of cell phones and the fact that I had different expectations than were presented to me but I should have received notification of an offer for my phone from e-cycle as I was left with no options

In response to Mr. [redacted], Our monthly Price List confirms his device would have been worth a maximum of $40. These values are dictated by the amount that the secondary market will pay for a working condition device. Unfortunately, this client's device was received with a defective display which...

required the devices to be recycled.  This was done for data security reasons, as well as it had no resale value.   When devices have certain defects, the users become accustomed to it, or find a work around.  Unfortunately, the defective display was not a device in Working Condition making it eligible for full price list payment. In an effort to make the client happy, we have offered a Goodwill Credit in the full buyback amount, and a free charger to apologize for any inconvenience. We also will be taking a full write off for the $40 as the device had a defective display that our buyers will not accept and we had to recycle the device. We have repeatedly called this Mr. [redacted] to try and resolve this issue, but he was expecting an amount that we never offered (e.g. over $200). We also apologized for any inconvenience, but unfortunately, is still unhappy. We pride ourselves on over 11 years of zero complaints and over 20,000+ customers served. Unfortunately, this customer was not educated on the true secondary value of their used device and assumed it had a value that was not accurate.
