I took my piering machine to them to be fixedThey told me $to fix my machine, when I went to pick up the machine they said $I feel like they abused my trust, and there is no reason for the pricing to increase in such a mannerThey still have the machineI feel like I should not have to pay more that $I would just like my machine

The customer sent his employee to our location to drop off the pump on 9/2/14. It was in very rough shape and was in pieces. We were able to repair and put the unit back together and we tested it to be sure it was working fine, which it was. The customer then came back by and requested that we order...

in a new motor and mounting parts hoping it would help out the speed of the unit. I explained it wouldn't help out much with the speed of the motor, but the customer insisted we order the parts. We ordered in the parts, as the customer requested, and called them when they arrived to let them know so they could bring the unit back to have the new parts installed. Several months went by and the unit was never brought back, so we called them again to see if they wanted us to install the parts still (as we have paid for all the parts months ago). They finally brought the unit back in on 10/27/15 to get the parts that were ordered installed. The owner stopped by complaining the speed of the pump was always too slow. We explained to him that the only way to speed up production was to replace the old power unit with a larger power unit. He was quoted verbally, in person, $4500.00(plus tax). He told us to order it before leaving that day. When it arrived, we called to let them know it was in and he sent an employee out to pick it up along with the unit we installed the new parts onto. The cost for the new unit and the repaired unit was $5805.84(including tax). When his card was declined for that amount his employee called him and it was then discovered that instead of $4500, he thought he heard $400-500. We have copies of quotes and the bill from our vendor. We did not increase the price out of nowhere. He was told, in person, the price of the new unit was $4500(before tax) plus the repairs of the other unit as he requested. The owner told his employee to leave the units there and to leave. We unloaded them from her car and that was the end of communication for some time. On April 7, 2016, he sent an employee back to our location. We sat down with the employee and went over all the paperwork. We told him that we were willing to keep the special order power unit, that is non-returnable, and would credit their account the $4500(plus tax). They would still be responsible for the repair bill for the other unit, which were all repairs requested by them, to be able to pick it up. The amount due is $827.00. The employee left with copies of all the paperwork, that was discussed to go back and give the owner. We did not release the unit that day because he did not come with payment. We felt like this was more than fair considering we were going to be stuck with a $4500 power unit that we would now have to try and resell as well as months of unpaid repair bills. There was no communication after this point. The owner of the company never called us in regards to the paperwork we sent back with his employee, he never called asking about his repaired unit, there was simply no communication after this point with him. Due to what seems to be a hearing/communication issue with him, we didn't feel a phone conversation was going to be beneficial for the situation. Given the circumstances we were not willing to release the repaired unit without payment, as we have sat on it for months without payment and didn't feel that we would ever received payment without holding it. We don't fix nor order parts without a customer requesting to do so. After receiving this complaint letter, the Vice President of our business reached out to the owner, and had a lengthy conversation with him over the phone. He acted as though he was unaware of most of this situation. We will still stand behind the credit of the new power unit. He can come pick up his machine as long as he brings the repair payment of $827.00 to cover his requested parts and labor on the old machine.
