Stedfast came to my house for a service callMy compressor fan was running backwardsThe service man reversed two wires and said I needed a new capacitor(Genteq 00203)He also checked the system pressure which was OKI thought he said the capacitor was $which as it turns out was about $over retail which I don't have a problem withThe price on my invoice for the capacitor is $This is about times the retail price for the partInstallation time was less then minutesIn addition I paid $for the service callThe company said the service man was here for hours which I believe was less than one hourHe's a very nice guy but I'm sure he doesn't set the prices customers are chargedAnd I don't mind paying a little more for good serviceHowever, paying $for a part that retails for about $10-just isn't rightFor a business to do this is unethical and unprofessional

We just had our Fall maintenance visit from Stephen Llast week and, as always, he did a great jobStephen is always very thorough and professional, yet he always makes time to be polite and visit with us before he leavesWe have been very pleased with Stedfast's service AND Stephen's service

I will not be using Stedfast from this day forward because of issues at three differing locations that include lack of warranty, failed service that is affecting my revenue, and poor communication/scheduling:
Issue #- A contractor of mine highly recommended this company for a new HVAC installation The installation was good, the unit functions fine, but when it has come to the warranty on the unit, forget it My contractor was great about leaving the paperwork and numbers on who to call to get the warranty on the unit, I called the front desk people at their office separate times, emailed them, and sent the contact form in through the website and months later nothing They have failed to send my warranty info or register the unit for warranty That's strike one
Issue #- I had called Stedfast relative to a problem at another location with the heating side of the unit going into a lockout mode after three times of a failed start I suggested a flame sensor could be an issue, but instead I have their technician come out and resolve nothing on the first go around It was suggested to me that it was a gas diaphragm and that the part would take a week or so to get That's fine, but the second time another technician came out, the supposed diaphragm was not replaced, and now I have forfeited money to the renters occupying this location due to not having heat
Issue #- Stedfast was supposed to call one Monday as they were busy on another job, and could not get to a exhaust duct installation That Monday went by and no call to confirm an appointment My wife waited around another few days and still no call, which was supposed to confirm service within that three day window I got fed up waiting for these guys to call, and by the time they did I had already bought a 7" Diamond Blade Grinder, Hammer Drill and duct work and cut the brick wall out and did the installation myself
I will never recommend this company to anyone again
