Review: Greenwood Construction Company was hired in September 2012 to restore a church in Seguin, Texas. His company estimate according to the contract was for a job not to exceed $92,000. We have paid him a sum of $86,000 yet the church is still not completed. Several days and even months would go by and he would not be on the worksite doing any work. He did leave the building's back wall completely open when he removed the wall and he left it open to the elements. He also did no work on the roof which was open with holes. The exposure has left the wood rotting and in return has created more problems. For $86,000 all that was done was leveling of the building, new doors on the front, insulation of the walls, and some particle electrical work. No painting, Septic System, Bathrooms, Pastor's Study, Flooring,Roofing, AC/Heating duct work, Windows, as specified in the original contract was ever done. He did admit that he mismanaged the funds, yet it is now 2015 and this is going on 3 years with no work completed. He paid himself and others, with no monies going to the repairs of the church. I am looking for him to come and complete the job that should have been done as per the contract, which states the work would be completed within 6 months to a year. He is asking for more money to complete the project, yet as per the contract you are owed only $6,000 more and the bulk of the work is still not done. He needs to complete the job and generate the funds to finish it.
