This letter is in response to a complaint that we received from the costumer that purchased the *** ***I would like to make one correction in the complaint; the customer did not purchase the vehicle on June 6, 2015, she purchased the vehicle on June 9, A few days prior
she test drove the vehicle with her father and they both stated that the vehicle handled very well, The vehicle was listed 2,and the customer stated that she had only 2,and asked if we would accept that for the vehicleWe asked the old owner at the time and he said yes, but the vehicle would be soid AS-ISThe customer agreed to the and came back to purchase the vehicle from us and signed the Buyers Guide, the customer also signed the bill of sale stating that this vehicle is AS-IS.After the sale of the vehicle we have not heard anything from the customer until the complaint that was filed with the Revdex.comSo at no time did the customer call us or contact us to look at the vehicle or bring the vehicle backThe costumer attached a copy of an estimate, not a bill, of the work has been doneThe costumer has had the vehicle for days until this complaint was filedWe do not know if she hit something to cause the damage to the vehicleAgain we were never notified about this and have never given the chance to see the vehicle. The customer stated that the mechanic told her that this vehicle should never have passed inspectionWe have nothing in writing or photos from the mechanicThe customer took the vehicle to a Maryland garageThe state of Maryland inspects their vehicles one time; Pennsylvania inspects their vehicles every year, The specs from one state to another are completely differentOur dealership does not have a certified licensed mechanicWe send our vehicles out to someone who is certified and is licensed to preform inspections in the state of PennsylvaniaOur dealership has done this since 1977.The customer has never contacted us or brought the vehicle to us to see the ball joint, steering idler arm or the tireThe customer also did not show a receipt showing she paid for any work that was doneThe customer did not supply a report stating that the ball joint, steering idler arm or the tire was bad and why they were bad from the mechanic, E & L also feels that if a ball joint, steering idler arm and tire was in such poor condition to the point it was Un-drivable why was this not reported after she drove the vehicleAlso why did her father, who looked over the car and test drove it, with her not notice any issues? If the ball joints, steering idler and tire is to the point where it looked like it was going to pop, you can feel it as soon as you drive itAgain we have never once been contacted about this issue or have been able to see the ball joint, steering idler arm or tire from the customer. We at E & L have no knowledge as to what the customer has done in the past days with the vehicleWe are questioning why the customer never contacted us about this, and let us see the vehicle or call the inspection station where the vehicle was inspectedWe have the inspection report and there is nothing on it saying anything needed to be replaced and we do not handle the inspections, an outside inspection station handles thatWe also have the original form and the Bill of Sale with the form included, with the customers signature and date(Please see PA laws for AS-IS)We do not feel any type of refund should be issued because of everything stated above.Sincerely,Edward H

This letter is in response to a complaint that we received from the costumer that purchased the 1996 [redacted]. I would like to make one correction in the complaint; the customer did not purchase the vehicle on June 6, 2015, she purchased the vehicle on June 9,...

2015. A few days prior she test drove the vehicle with her father and they both stated that the vehicle handled very well, The vehicle was listed 2,585.00 and the customer stated that she had only 2,300.00 and asked if we would accept that for the vehicle. We asked the old owner at the time and he said yes, but the vehicle would be soid AS-IS. The customer agreed to the AS-IS and came back to purchase the vehicle from us and signed the AS-IS Buyers Guide, the customer also signed the bill of sale stating that this vehicle is AS-IS.After the sale of the vehicle we have not heard anything from the customer until the complaint that was filed with the Revdex.com. So at no time did the customer call us or contact us to look at the vehicle or bring the vehicle back. The costumer attached a copy of an estimate, not a bill, of the work has been done. The costumer has had the vehicle for 79 days until this complaint was filed. We do not know if she hit something to cause the damage to the vehicle. Again we were never notified about this and have never given the chance to see the vehicle.
The customer stated that the mechanic told her that this vehicle should never have passed inspection. We have nothing in writing or photos from the mechanic. The customer took the vehicle to a Maryland garage. The state of Maryland inspects their vehicles one time; Pennsylvania inspects their vehicles every year, The specs from one state to another are completely different.
Our dealership does not have a certified licensed mechanic. We send our vehicles out to someone who is certified and is licensed to preform inspections in the state of Pennsylvania. Our dealership has done this since 1977.
The customer has never contacted us or brought the vehicle to us to see the ball joint, steering idler arm or the tire. The customer also did not show a receipt showing she paid for any work that was done. The customer did not supply a report stating that the ball joint, steering idler arm or the tire was bad and why they were bad from the mechanic, E & L also feels that if a ball joint, steering idler arm and tire was in such poor condition to the point it was Un-drivable why was this not reported after she drove the vehicle. Also why did her father, who looked over the car and test drove it, with her not notice any issues? If the ball joints, steering idler and tire is to the point where it looked like it was going to pop, you can feel it as soon as you drive it. Again we have never once been contacted about this issue or have been able to see the ball joint, steering idler arm or tire from the customer.
We at E & L have no knowledge as to what the customer has done in the past 79 days with the vehicle. We are questioning why the customer never contacted us about this, and let us see the vehicle or call the inspection station where the vehicle was inspected. We have the inspection report and there is nothing on it saying anything needed to be replaced and we do not handle the inspections, an outside inspection station handles that. We also have the original AS-IS form and the Bill of Sale with the AS-IS form included, with the customers signature and date. (Please see PA laws for AS-IS). We do not feel any type of refund should be issued because of everything stated above.
Sincerely,
Edward H
