I am writing in response to the complaint you received from [redacted] about our business. I gave [redacted] a verbal estimate of work to be completed. After scheduling the work I, Eddie S[redacted] arrived at 28 Caversham dr on May 1, 2015 to complete the work. [redacted] and I marked the area out...

that they wanted widened and marked it with orange paint. I dug out the area, installed stone, and milled the edge, and paved, then applied a hot tar joint. After a few weeks went by she said she wasn't happy with the work and wanted it larger. I explained that we don't usually do that and that's why we marked the area she wanted initially out together. I told her it wouldn't blend well and there would be an additional seem. She said i'd pay you to come back to sealcoat it so it all matches. I told her she would still see it regardless it will look bad. She then said it already looks like s[redacted], cursing and saying we did a bad job. Her husband called me back and was nicer, we agreed to come back and widen how she wanted at no cost. A few months later they texted me about sealing the job, which I ignored because of the past that we had with them. They then called me and said I needed to come seal coat the driveway. I never once agreed on sealing their existing driveway. We always recommend our customers to wait a year after we pave to sea, because new asphalt must cure 1 year. We have worked for 5 of their neighbors who are all pleased. We are local renown and appreciated business and value all our customers. We have been in business for 30 years and have an upstanding reputation. I will not go back to seal coat their driveway because I never agreed to do it for free, and I will not refund them $150 because I never charged them that extra amount to begin with.Sincerely,Edward *.
