I am disputing fees for photographs for which I am being charged. Photos charges were not disclosed or approved prior to being provided.
I visited Lighthouse Family Dentistry for removal of a tooth which had broken off at the gum line on March 26, 2013. No actual dental work was completed on this date. During the visit the following occurred: Office Visit, X-ray's and photographs. I recently began receiving collection calls regarding an outstanding balance in the amount of $78.00 for this visit. The original charge was for $36.00 for oral/facial images (photographs) and the difference is apparently for late fees and finance charges. I disputed the charge both with Lighthouse Family Dentistry and the collection company. The dental office refuses to remove the charges from the account and the collection company continues to call and harass me from various numbers typically hanging up on me when I answer. I dispute these charges; I did not sign or agree to these charges nor was I advised that there would even be a charge. I feel these charges constitute padding the bill and I do not feel responsible for the fees. I am requesting these fees be immediately removed from my account; the account be withdrawn from collections and any negative reporting to credit agencies be corrected.
