Review: This occurred back in December 2012 and had slipped my mind until an advertising email from EZ Clean reminded me of it. I also just now became aware that EZ is a Revdex.com member and that I might have some recourse for remedy... unless too much time has passed.

I hired EZ Clean to clean my windows before Christmas when we would have a house full of people. [redacted] Wilson, the owner came alone to do the job. The next day when the sunlight shone on the windows it became obvious by the streaks and smears that he had done a poor job on several of them. I called him and he said he would come back and redo them but he did not return as he was taking time off for the holidays. Several days past and after a couple of calls from me, in early January he sent two of his employees out on a cold, cloudy and rainy day. Poor window cleaning conditions. Again, when the sun came out a couple of days later there were still streaks and smears.. another poor job. I called [redacted] again and he said that he could not afford to come back a third time due to the "good price" ($235) he had quoted at the beginning. He indicated that at that price I should be satisfied and that he would not return.Desired Settlement: Since it appears EZ can't get these windows clean, I'd prefer receiving the refund to use to hire someone who can.

This Person, has well water as his water supply, I guess the mineral content of the water caused the streaks as we cleaned these for him on the day of the job, as streaks kept on appearing I cleaned these windows again and again, he called us back a few weeks later so again we went back and tried every trick of the trade that we know of but I guess the same problem arose.

He has a problem SIX months later ?

I am rejecting this response because: These very people, along with other window cleaners at various times, have cleaned my windows in the past with the same water and did a good job. That is why I hired them again. If the water is the problem, why were some of the windows done well and other poorly? The were all done using the same water.

I also mentioned in my follow up reply the fact that these very old windows have plastic beading that are showing signs of decaying due to the Sun and father time, we noticed a white milky residue that appeared and was wiped off several times, this residue came from this decayed beading which looks to have broken down.

We have previously (some years back) cleaned this clients windows and he was happy enough to re-hire us again, we came back to try to solve the problems but the same issues arose again.

We have cleaned hundreds upon hundreds of clients windows for over 10 years without a single complaint until this one, We feel that shows that we do good service 99.9999% of the time. We tried both the first and second time to rectify the problem but ended up thinking that the beading is causing this issue and therefore the issue lays with the windows themselves.

What else can we do SIX MONTHS later when this client complains ?

I am rejecting this response because:

I obviously am going to get no satisfaction on this. I'll end this back-and-forth with this summary of the facts:

1. I paid EZ to get all of my windows clean. Some were and some were not. There was no contingencies mentioned when they agreed to do the job.

2. The "beading" or whatever condition is supposed to be the problem, didn't matter on many of the windows because they were cleaned well. Same age windows... 15 feet apart.

3. I cleaned the windows in question myself after EZ could not finish the job. I did a better job... because I was not in a hurry and did it under reasonable weather conditions... not on a cold, windy, cloudy, rainy day per their 2nd attempt.

4. I waited 6 months because until I received EZ's recent email soliciting additional business, I did not know they were a Revdex.com member and I might have some recourse for recovering some of what I paid them.

5. I'm going to hire another firm to do the job. We'll see if they have the same impediments that EZ claimed.
