EZ Plumbing of Verona and owner Scott [redacted] helped our food pantry out with a non-functioning auto-flush issue in the men's room. He arrived quickly in the early AM, had all of the parts on hand, and made the necessary repairs made before we opened at 9AM. We were so grateful for the quick response and professionalism - but we nearly lost it when he said "no charge"! This is why the Badger Prairie Needs Network can operate as an all-volunteer organization...we live in a community of kind, caring residents and business people. Let's buy local and support folks like Scott [redacted] and his family business!

Review: EZ Plumbing performed a few plumbing-related jobs in our home last summer. Two of them were done to an inferior result, and upon discussion and paying the invoice, we were promised those jobs would be completed to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, at the time I was pregnant and trying to finish up travel for my job before I was medically grounded, which limited the time I was available to sit at home and wait for a return to finish the repair. my husband had sustained a back injury and we were very involved with dealing with all these issues so to not allow time to deal with a repair that should have been done correctly and per manufacture recommendations the first time. Here are the repair, the issues with them, and what they did on the return trip: 1. An exterior faucet was repaired because it was leaking. They had to cut into our ceiling to fix this. It still leaked after the repair was completed. Scott, the owner, informed me that he talked to the manufacturer and the manufacturer told him that the leak was because we were on well water, so nothing was done on the return trip. 2. The kitchen faucet had a leak and the cartridge was replaced. The faucet them leaked more and in the same fashion. When I called Koehler, they said it sounded like the cartridge was replaced, but not the O-rings, and they recommend the O-rings be replaced at the same time and would have sent out both a cartridge and O-rings . This was, according the Jason, exactly what was done (cartridge replaced and not the O-rings). I had to help [redacted] get the faucet re-seated during the repair process and suggest to him that the lime deposits needed to be removed in order for the re-seating to be correct. Each time he tried to do it, the swivel of the kitchen faucet was too tight. This repair is now complete, but was not performed per manufacturer recommendations the first time. For the work that was done, we feel $845 was excessive. Upon returning to do the work correctly, they sent us a bill for an additional $150. Since EZ Plumbing (Scott) agreed to make the repair right when we paid the additional bill, and the work was not done correctly, the additional bill is an outrage, and I felt certain it was in error upon receiving the bill until I received a call from one of their office people. After receiving the second bill, I decided to validate the information about the exterior faucet with [redacted], the manufacturer, and through email, they said that what Scott told me about the well pressure was inaccurate. I sent photos of the behavior post repair to [redacted], and they sent me a part to remedy the issue that they said should have been installed when the faucet was repaired. My father-in-law replaced that piece in about 15 minutes. Effectively, we did at least some of the work we paid EZ Plumbing to perform.Desired Settlement: There are several pieces to this outcome: 1. Cease and desist phone calls to get paid additional money for work for which you have already received payment. And discontinue the threats of liens on our home or small claims court. 2. Admit that the information you provided to me that you said was from Woodford was not accurate. If [redacted] needs assistance with this effective apology, I can provide emails from Woodford about the issue and remedy that was quite simple and straight-forward. 3. Review the bill and refund a fair amount given that we had to (1) go through the trouble of scheduling additional time for you to come back out and do the repairs correctly, (2) assist and provide recommendations regarding the repair on the kitchen faucet to get it right, (3) call Woodford and get a part to repair an issue for which you claimed there was no remedy and replace that part ourselves after you had charged us a substantial amount to repair the issue with that faucet in the first place and caused issues that were not originally there. Without reviewing an itemization of your statement, which we did not receive (only a list of services and lump sum charges for parts and labor), with a reputable plumber, I will put a dollar figure I feel is fair on this as $250. This includes my discounted hourly rate for assisting your employee in completing the repair on the kitchen faucet, providing my professional recommendations to him on how to get the faucet re-seated and fitting properly, and assessing and researching the issue with the outdoor faucet repair.
