Review: I agreed to $29.95 + $.79/mile. I drove 39 miles, which is what they confirmed for me. At that rate I should've been charged no more than $61 for use of their moving truck. They charged me $88 citing that I did not fill the gas tank to what it was. It was slightly above the 1/2 tank line and I filled it to that. I was charged $28 for gas that I already filled. When I called she told me I didn't fill it. I'm at a loss for how to argue the matter with them.Desired Settlement: I'd just like a refund for the amount that they overcharged me; $28.

I have made more than one attempt to contact [redacted] and left at least one message with all my contact info.

On her rental contract that was signed by her, it states the fuel to be at the 5/8ths level. Upon her return the fuel was at the 1/2 level. She was charged 20$ for the fuel that was not replaced. She contacted us and spoke with my office clerk. We double checked the rental contract from the previous customer and it verified the 5/8ths fuel level. She stated that she had filled the truck to the half mark and had taken a picture of the gas gauge. We are always willing to take things under review and told her if she could provide us with this picture and it seemed creditable we would refund the 20$. She unfortunately never contacted us again.

We ask all customers to provide a gas receipt from refueling to prevent issues such as this, no such receipt was ever made available. A redacted bank statement that shows only her bank charge from that day would also be accepted.

Our rental contract states in Bold print that she would be charged 30$ plus 5$ per gallon if the fuel was not replaced. Clearly we did not charge her according to that scheduled. We charged her a more then fair charge for the fuel and the time it would take to be replaced.

She is also not taking into account sales tax in her complaint. I am assuming that accounts for the 8$ discrepancy.

I can provide any documents I mentioned as proof of the outgoing fuel level. It would also be on the original given to her at the time of the rental.
