Tenant [redacted] is attempting to avoid paying his last months rent, as contractually required in his executed lease. We will be happy to refund the remainder of the damage deposit once all rent payments have been made. Minnesota law allows for unpaid rent to be deducted from damage deposits held, which we have done. Tenant still owes a balance and this amount has been referred to a collection agency, in compliance with Minnesota law.
