is always our intent to be honest and upfront about our fees and our experience with dental insurance companies. We are not contracted with any black box dental insurance plans but gladly file claims to them in hope you receive those payments they decide you deserve. It's not much different from medical insurance, With regard to my employees and your insurance company and who said what, I believe my employees. You are certainly free to agree with the insurance clerks. Dental insurance plans and their interpretation of your benefits vary. We pay for a service that provides a guestimate for the your portion of the dental treatment proposed. However, most insurance companies have various gotcha coverage clauses and you have been the victim of one. Regarding your specific plan, the secret was revealed to us by your insurance company after treatment that you have no coverage for composite resin restorations (white fillings). At the bottom of your original proposed treatment plan page, you will see a two sentence comment that reads--If you have dental insurance, please be aware that THIS IS AN ESTIMATE ONLY (in caps because that is how it appears). Coverage may be different if your deductible has not been met, annual maximum has been met, or if your coverage table is lower than average. We see many people that understand and accept this risk, proceed with treatment with this reservation, and pay out of pocket what their insurance is unwilling to pay. I regret we both have suffered the confusion and lack of clarity your dental insurance company(has dumped upon us.
