Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Mark never once mentioned that he was going to pull any permits for the electric, why, because his son who he contracted to do the electric wasn't a licensed electrician. We found this out afterward by the person who referred them.  Per Ohio law if a contractor hires someone without a license, the owner doesn't have a responsibility to pay. Then we have in writing where Mark says that the other contractors were not going to come back to finish the job. There was no pipes replaced, I have pictures and a sworn affidavit from the plumber who had to fix what was done as well as the get the jobs permitted. As far as materials. We understood that they would not be kept in the house, we simply asked for a receipt of what had been spent. And upon Mark saying that the electrical subcontractor wouldn't be returning, we asked that they return the materials purchased along with the receipt. We have text message proof of this conversation as well. I didn't have any other electrician begin work on the house, prior to Mark and his sub contractors quitting. Which again we have that in writing as well. I have screenshots of text message and email conversations from Mark about the scope of work as well as him sending a check back to us for a refund.
