We just spoke with the customer who came into our office to make a payment.  We are taking care of the issues with the car and he is satisfied with the results of our conversation.  At this point, he agreed that the complaint should be closed.

Complaint: 11557995
I am rejecting this response because:
I gave the merchant ample opportunity to repair vehicle.  On my last visit it was [redacted] who instructed me to give the car a week to start braking properly or bring it back.  His disregard for safety is cause for concern.  How do you let a person leave your shop when the brakes are still not working properly.  I had no choice but to bring to take it to another mechanic.  And after reviewing my invoices I noticed an over charge.  Vehicle was left at 9:04 am and picked up at 11:47 am.  That's approximately 2.5 hrs vehicle was in [redacted]'s shop.  I was charged 3.5 hrs of labor.  Please note estimate 21089.  Please note mileage on invoice 29301 vehicle didn't get used much after initial repair.  Again this is a vehicle that get high usage.
Regards,
R[redacted]

The business stated over the phone that "If the customer returns the parts: master cylinder, brake pads and brake shoes, the business will refund the customer."

In response to your letter dated 07/11/2016, attached document concerning transaction with R[redacted] car (2003 Honda Civic LX). It includes the repair contract signed by the owner and receipt for the parts used to service the vehicle. The brake pads and the rotors were in the metai to metal...

condition that put strain to other brake system components,The brake pads utilized was an OE parts. Never a promise of genuine Honda parts was given since it was Saturday. Further troubleshooting, after recurrence of braking deficiency, the master cylinder was replaced. The air was bled off the system and was test driven. The braking problem came back and he took it to a different mechanic and was told that the new master cylinder was defective and needed to be replaced, He should have brought it back and the rew master cylinder replace as per warranty. At the job performed on this vehicle was done in good faith,To satisfy the customer and refund his money, we reed the old master cylinder (the one that we replaced and failed) so we could return it to the parts store and collect our money and we will take the loss on our labor.I hope this suggestion will conciliate the mind of the customer.L[redacted]
