After going through the e-mail that you forwarded to me from Mr L [redacted] at Eagle Cliff Manor, I found so many incorrect statements I really don't know where to start.? If in fact, all the information that is contained in the first paragraph had actually happened there would have been no need to involve the Revdex.comThe only true statement was that I was told the first days of rehabilitation would be covered by Medicare at 100%That is why I could not understand why mother was getting a bill for over $20,I filed a complaint to Revdex.com Friday, November 25, and got a message on my answering machine on Tuesday, November 29th.? It was then that I finally got some explanation as to where the charges were fromI still wonder why Medicare gets charged $per day and self-pay is $356.00, but that is a path I would not want to go downI now know that days of care was self payAs the meeting that mother, myself, my brother [redacted] and Brian the administrator had in June, Brian knew that she was racking up bills that she could not pay, and she maintains that she was told Medicare was paying for her careI now have a detailed list of supplies, from KirstenI wonder why she was being charged $per pair for Depends when I can purchase from Walmart a package of for $plus sales tax ? After trying to explain these facts to mother and [redacted] , both are not of the frame of mind to pay Eagle Cliff Manor anymore towards this bill However, I believe that the facility did house, feed and care for her for said duration and I am proposing this: ? days @$per day = $ ? $per day and self-pay is $356.00, but that is a path I would not want to go downI now know that days of care was self payAs the meeting that mother, myself, my brother *** and Brian the administrator had in June, Brian knew that she was racking up bills that she could not pay, and she maintains that she was told Medicare was paying for her careI now have a detailed list of supplies, from KirstenI wonder why she was being charged $per pair for Depends when I can purchase from Walmart a package of for $plus sales tax
After trying to explain these facts to mother and ***, both are not of the frame of mind to pay Eagle Cliff Manor anymore towards this bill
However, I believe that the facility did house, feed and care for her for said duration and I am proposing this:
days @$per day = $
Supplies = $
paid = $
Due $
When mother left Eagle Cliff Manor, she was still in a wheel chair
Where she is now, has one-on-one care for $per day and is walking with a walker

In reference to Complaint ID#[redacted] called Kristen K[redacted], Eagle Cliff Business Office Manager, on October 18th and expressed concerns about her mother, [redacted]’s account. Kristen informed her that we had not received the letter that [redacted] stated she had mailed previously....

Kristen and [redacted] reviewed the account, and Kristen explained that Medicare A covered up to 100 days of a rehabilitation stay. Within that 100 days, Medicare covered the days 1-20 at 100%, and at days 21-100 they covered at 80% with the co-insurance of $161 per day. [redacted]’s Medicare A days were 04/12/16-05/22/16 at which time Therapy determined that she had made as much progress as she was going to make. At that time her Medicare A stay ended, and her private pay stay was from 05/23/16-07/17/16.
According to [redacted], the previous administration had conversations that [redacted] was to be transferred from the Transitional Care Unit ($356 per day) to our assisted living wing River Ridge ($181 per day); but this did not happen. Part of the reason the bill was so much, was due to her remaining on the Transitional Care Unit. Kristen discussed lowering the bill to what it would have been for her mom to be on the River Ridge side, since that is what was supposed to happen. [redacted] was very pleased with this proposed compromise. This proposal was approved by our corporate office and Kristen called [redacted] back on 10/21/16 at 2:16PM, and left a voicemail stating that she had received the approval and a new bill would be sent out in November. On November 3, Kristen received a message that [redacted] had not received the 10/21/16 voicemail. Kristen contacted [redacted] by phone on 11/3/16, to let her know that our proposed change was approved and that she would be receiving a bill in middle to late November. [redacted] seemed pleased with this arrangement, and stated she would watch for the bill. The corrected amount for 05/23/16-07/17/16 which is 54 days at $181 is $9774.00. [redacted] did pay $5,000 on 09/13/2016 which was applied toward her private pay balance.
Eagle Cliff has an entire new Administration and Management team. All of [redacted]’s stay was under the previous management, so we can’t be sure exactly what was said or done or not done. As soon as Eagle Cliff learned of the issues I believe that we went to every length to correct the problems in a satisfactory manor for the [redacted] family. When Kristen last talked to [redacted], she seemed very pleased with the outcome and had no further complaints or issues that she made Kristen aware of. I talked to [redacted] as soon as we got the letter from the Revdex.com, and she stated that she still has not received the adjusted bill. Kristen contacted our corporate biller, got a copy of the new adjusted bill; and sent it to [redacted] personally.Thank You
