I've been dealing with a very verbally abusive [redacted] that calls my house. Threats for garnishment have happened, speaking to me in a condescending manner on the phone, cutting me down for being disabled and being unable to work and pay my bill, chewing me out for my husband's medical issues and inability to pay. I would not choose this firm to represent my own company if in need of collections and I do not reccommend someone represent you in an abusive fashion. I tried to report this to [redacted] boss only to be put on the phone with another woman who felt the need to chew me out. We have serious medical issues and we cannot pay everyone and I DO BELIEVE threatening someone with a garnishment is illegal.

Review: After continuously arguing with my insurance about payment I had a medical bill go to Eagle Collections. I realized that I was getting no where with my insurance company who kept running me in circles so I decided to pay the bill off. I contacted Eagle Corp via fax (no e-mail address is listed to contact them) and asked that seeing how the bill was paid was there any way the collection could be removed from my credit report for all 3 major reporting bureaus (Equifax, Experian & Transunion). I received no response on whether it was possible or not and I was just ignored. I understand and take responsibility for letting it get that far (despite my insurance company). All I was looking for was a response. I have the letter and the fax confirmation stating that they received it and that it went thru.Desired Settlement: To have the collection removed from my credit report for all 3 major reporting bureaus (Equifax, Experian & Transunion)

We have been advised by Trans Union that we must comply with the FRCA and report accurately. When an account is paid in full, we must report it as PIF. The only time we will remove an account (DA) is if it was listed in error. We received this account 3/23/11, sent the credit bureau notification on 3/24/11. We left 2 messages at his home phone and spoke with him on 4/21/11. He had every opportunity to pay this in full before we reported this to Trans Union in May of 2011.

I have tried calling them in the past and they are very rude. I asked for a mailed copy of what I owed since I moved and lost some of my paperwork and they told me that they were not going to send it because they were tired of me not answering their phone calls. I have a few debts that they are handling. However, I received a letter yesterday stating that they have reliable info on where I work and that I CAN pay my debt off and I'm failing to do so. Well if I could honestly make $2500 appear out of nowhere I would gladly pay them off, but with bad credit(no help from banks) and my monthly living costs, they are just going to have to wait.

Just an fyi on this account. The insurance has denied this for timely filing. However, given the mother/daughter situation, we have removed this from the debtor’s credit file.
