To Whom It May concern
[redacted] called us due to [redacted] shutting down their gas service due to a leak in the system.
We sent him a quote to file a Limited Alteration Application...
with the department of buildings , Locate the leak, repair it, Call the Department of buildings for inspection, perform a gas test & sign off the project.
We required a 50% retainer to proceed with the work and the balance gets paid after sign off.
When we went to do the job we found that the leak happened before the Main Gas Valve. This is the property of [redacted] and we are NOT allowed to touch that part.
We informed [redacted] of the situation and explained to him that we need to open up a ticket with [redacted] and they have to come and do their work before we can do anything else.
He gave us the go ahead and we submitted an order the [redacted]. [redacted] requires a Blue Card or a LAA to be filed before they can come in. We did that and we coordinated the project between [redacted] and [redacted]. They came in and did their work and they opened up his gas service.
This is where he is confused because he thinks that [redacted] did the job and we played no part in it but without us, a licensed plumber filing the job this would not have happened.
We still need to do a Gas Test and call the inspector to review the work and if everything is OK we need to give him a sign off.
He is confused and thinks that we didn't do any work and want's the retainer back.
He still owes us the remaining 50% of the quote we gave him that he accepted.
Review: I PAID EAGLE PLUMBING $1825.00 BY CHECK TO REPLACE THE PIPES ON THE GAS LINE, AND ON 11/*/2014 [redacted] PUT IN NEW PIPES FROM THE MAIN CUTOFF TO THE METER GAS,AND [redacted] PUT IN ALL NEW PIPES AND EAGLE ONLY REMOVED THE OLD PIPES. THE [redacted] REFUSED TO GIVE BACK THE $ 1825.00 AND SAID THE STILL OWE HIM $1825.00 MORE FOR NOTING THAT EAGLE DID AT ALL. I AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE DERT OF BULDING FOR INVESTGATION OF THIS INCIDENT.Desired Settlement: TAKE ONLY FOR FILING FOR DEPT OF BULDING, NEED TO SHOW RECEIRT FOR ALL PERMITS,AND RETURN THE REST OF MY MONEY. TO ME AT ONCE.
