I have been without hot water in my apartment for over a week. I have contacted the landlord ([redacted]) multiple times and it is still not working. He advised me he has replaced the part that was broken in the boil room but I am still without hot water. I contacted him today (5/9/2016) and his exact words were "live with it for awhile or move".He also turned off the heat in all of the apartments and provided us with a space heater that is full of water, is dusty and rusted and doesn't work.These are bare minimum requirements for an apartment so I am not sure why it is so hard to get them fixedDesired SettlementI would just like hot water and heat in my apartment. That shouldn't be too much to ask for as these two things are required by law.Business Response [redacted] complaint in reference to no hot water is false. If he runs the faucet for 5 to 10 minutes (depending on water use for the time of day) he will receive hot water, this is a problem we are currently working on and is not an easy fix, which we have informed the tenant. To date, management has installed an additional hot water heater and a new domestic hot water circulating pump. Managements next move is to replace moen cartridges in tubs/basins/hot water faucets this will in tail time,money and corporation from the all tenants. Hopefully this will resolve the problem and also help with water waste/ energy waste. Management does pay all utilities. In regards to the space heater that [redacted] received in which he claimed is filled with water and dirty is incorrect. The heater that he received is filled with oil and was cleaned before tenant received it and worked properly. As stated before management is working on the problem and does pay all the utilities therefore remedying this problem is in our best interest. This has been an issue for over a month now. I understand that they pay all the utilities but hot water is a REQUIRED utility that all the tenants must have per Nevada code NRS 118A.380. The portable heater we recieved was rusted and covered in dust and did not work when plugged in. It looked like it has been sitting in a backyard for a few years. I will post pictures or post a link to the pictures as well. Please jusr get the hot water working properly, that's all I'm asking for.Final Business Response As stated before we are working on the problem, but it does require time. Please be patient.
