I took their Private Investigator class a couple of weeks ago and was impressed by the way Mark and TJ taught this classThere is a fair amount of bookwork involved and the surveillance practicals are realisticIt's a well-rounded class that covers legalities, procedures, equipment and field timeThere is a large amount of information packed into hours but TJ and Mark do an amazing job keeping it fun and easy to understandI am definitely going back for more classes

I have always been interested in investigationI looked into the requirements for getting my PI license and did my own research into the area schoolsI checked websites, reviews and did phone interviewsWhen I had completed my inquiries I chose to go with Eagle Security Solutions in ChesapeakeI live in Va Beach and chose Eagle for a number of reasons #Evening classesI really did not want to take a weeks' vacation in order to complete this requirementI was able to integrate this class' schedule into my pre-existing work/life schedule without sacrificing my leave time #Prompt response and follow throughI contacted several schools, several ways over many days and Eagle was friendly and prompt in answering all my questionsI have taken and completed the classes and one school has not gotten back to me yet
#The real dealAlthough I was a complete novice going into this training I was hopeful that I would learn how to become a good private investigatorThis is not a Pay-to-Stay class that will hand you a credential once the charge goes throughThis is a comprehensive, detailed and rigorous courseIt is an adult learner class for adult learners
There is a great deal that goes along with becoming a PI in the CommonwealthErin and Mark are experts in all things DCJS relatedThey provided instruction on getting an account, logging in, registration, finger printing, all separate from the 60+ hrs or coursework AND field training that they provide
On day one we are told what is expected and then we are off and runningThere is reading and lecture and research and reportingThere is also, most importantly, real-life, in the field training and surveillanceNo other school in the area offers this amount, variety of or level of In-the-field experienceWe are taught by hearing, watching, touching and doingMark and Erin do a fantastic job as instructors, leaders and mentors both in the classroom and out in the field You must be organized and self-drivenNo one is going to baby you or remind you when assignments are dueIt is a current class for today's climate which means that technology is involvedYou should have access to the internet and WIFIYour smartphone will be your lifeline and there will be apps that you'll have to use throughout the class for communications, surveillance, documentation and trackingYou will have to have space on your phone to download the apps and the data to run themYou will have to be a fairly good multi-tasker and attention to detail will be pivotalDon't stress because Mark and Erin will be there every step along the way
Mark is highly experienced and multi-disciplinedHe is a tough but fair leaderInitially he does appear outwardly intimidating but in reality is a patient and understanding leaderIt seems the goal of ESS is to prepare us for what lies ahead in this field and to provide a quality product I have no regrets and would recommend Eagle Security Solutions Incone hundred times overIf you are thinking about signing up and just move forward; just do itYou'll be so glad that you did
