Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Transmissions is all your shop does and your mechanic hooked up all the wires wrong and the sales guy ( [redacted] ) said he could order a new one for dollars his cost if I wanted to go that way. When I left Eagle Transmission my car would not go over to MPHI took my car to another shop and as soon as he pulled the cover off he said it was hooked up wrong all the other mechanic did was unplug all the wires and plugged them in the right plugs the car runs perfect with no issues nowThe part was good when ( [redacted] ) told me the part was trash I feel like they tried to take advantage me me by trying to sale me a part that I didn't need Regards, [redacted]

The customer diagnosed his own problem and requested to purchase and have us install a used partWe normally don't do this because there could be a question of liability as it in in this caseWe did agree that the customer could supply his own part and we would installit was clearly sated that
if we installed the used part and it didn't fix the problem that under no circumstances would we warranty or accept any liabilityThe customer fully understood what was stated on the work order and final receiptWe installed the part and it didn't fix the problemWe informed the customer that according to our diagnostics the part he purchased was defective and that he should purchase a replacement or possibly the whole transmission would need to be rebuilt but in any case as stated and agreed to he is liableThe customer chose not to complete repairsAs a good gesture I will offer the customer a free discount card, a we normally sell for $79.00, good for free oil changes and various discounts on future repairs

I am rejecting this response because: Transmissions is all your shop does and your mechanic hooked up all the wires wrong and the sales guy ([redacted]) said he could order a new one for 800.00 dollars his cost if I wanted to go that way. When I left Eagle Transmission my car would not go over 25 to 30 MPH. I took my car to another shop and as soon as he pulled the cover off he said it was hooked up wrong all the other mechanic did was unplug all the wires and plugged them in the right plugs the car runs perfect with no issues now. The part was good when ([redacted]) told me the part was trash.  I feel like they tried to take advantage me me by trying to sale me a part that I didn't need.

Tell Mr. [redacted]'s  1997 Jeep Wrangler was towed to our shop because it would not move and he had complained of a cacaphony of noises coming from underneath the vehicle, as well as a power steering problem/leak.   After our free diagnostic service, we recommended replacing the front ring...

and pinion, bearings and seals (rebuild of the front differential), as well as the rear ring and pinion, bearings and seals and the rear axle and spider gears (rebuild of the rear differential). Additionally, the hub bearings on both sides of the front wheels were bad and needed to be replaced.  We also said there could be damage to the rear axles, but we would not know until approval was given to rebuild the rear differential and we got everything taken apart.  We also recommended replacement of the power steering gear box as it was leaking fluid and it was cheaper and more effective to replace the unit than to try and rebuild it.  We stressed to Mr. [redacted] that BOTH the front and rear differentials were in bad shape and needed to be rebuilt.  Due to monetary concerns, he opted to only approve the power steering repair and the rear differential rebuild.  Once the repair was approved, we replaced the power steering gear box and began the rebuilding process of the rear differential.  We did NOT remove the rear drive shaft as that was not necessary.  We ONLY disconnected the rear pinion yoke.  After further inspection we determined that both rear axles were bad and they were replaced.  The rebuilding of the rear differential was completed in a satisfactory manner, the rear axles were replaced, and the rear pinion yoke was reconnected.  My senior mechanic noticed on the final test drive that significant vibration was still present; although we suspected that it is was coming from the front end of the vehicle, as the repairs to the front differential and hub bearings were declined, it was impossible to determine the source of all the vibration present.  It should also be noted since the vehicle has an after-market lift kit and oversize tires, the angle of the drive shaft is more severe than it should be and this could be a contributing factor.  This front end differntial/bearing repair needs to be addressed ASAP, as the same thing that happened to the rear differential that caused the vehicle to not move could happen again to the front differential.  There is also noticable wear patterns on the front tires to substantiate the existence of the aforementioned problem. We suspect that is was the significant vibration still present that caused the rear driveline to sheer off. as you can see by inspecting the rear pinion yoke, as the sheared pieces of the connceting bolts are still present.  We emphatically deny that any incompetence occurred on our end of this repair and again state that we did not remove the rear drive shaft as stated by Mr. [redacted] as it was not necessary to do so.  Indeed it is apparent from the front end situation that normal maintenance has not occurred and this negligience has contributed to the severity of the front end repair that needs to be done.  We also suspect that this lack of maintenance also contributed to the severity of the rear differential problem. We are sorry that this incident happened, but it is due to a lack of maintenance and monetary concerns of the part of Mr. [redacted].  The front differential and bearing problem needs to be addressed in order to complete the repair of this vehicle and prevent a reoccurence of this problem.  Additionally, there should be noted that there is also a major oil leak present. In summary, this current repair is a separate issue from the original repair and we again state there was no mistake or incompetence on the part of Eagle Transmission personnel concerning this repair.  us why here...
