The customer has entered the wrong phone number on this complaint so when we attempted to call we could not reach himHe also left us a phone message with a different phone number, but that number doesn't answer and the voice mail is not set up We are attempting to contact the customer to find out exactly what his problems are

Bamboozled. Was quoted one price ($385)for moving solely a grandfather clock about 40 miles.. Upon arrival was told $100 more was required for shipping material, more than 25% of the job. The Eagle office claims quoted price was estimate, but did not include packing material costs. When making the appointment the rep was repeatedly asked if this is the final cost. He confirmed it was $385 since tolls would not be needed taking a State Highway. However upon the truck’s arrival it was explained the company’s stance is that paper work sent to me prior to the job, states I am responsible for shipping materials. However, there is no indication on or accompanying the contract of the cost of shipping material for this job, or any job as a guide. It could range from a penny to thousands, because nothing is noted. Since there’s no indication anywhere of the cost, and don’t know whether the cost is just what they believe they can get from the customer upon meeting them or a standard fee. The alternative option offered was to move the clock in a less secure manner by signing a waiver releasing Eagle of any damage to the clock. However, why would anyone agree to ship something of value in a manner less to what professionals deemed as being safe? We opted to pay the surprise charge and tolls rather again looking for another mover. The main point here is not the cost, but the deceitful manner the extra cost was presented and applied.

October 1, 2015 Dear [redacted] ,Eagle Van Lines is a professional highly recognized Moving and Storage Company completing Hundreds of moves a year for the State Dept and US Military. On occasion there are Claims that do occur on our customers belongings and we have an established... Claims Dept ready to handle these claims. [redacted] is the Military member in which we relocated from Virginia to Washington. This Claim did occur at destination in which the Motorcycle was coming down the ramp from the Trailer to the ground and they lost control of the Bike and it fell to the ground. The claim was reported to Ms. W [redacted] in our Claims dept and she reacted by getting the Motorcycle inspected for repair even before [redacted] reported to the Military Claims Division. Unfortunately, there was Extensive damage. We must abide by the Military Rules and Regulations to repair or cash out If the repairs exceed the Value of an Item. The first Estimate was $9200.00 so we had To hire an appraiser to evaluate the value of the bike, which is what is happening now. We will continue our efforts to complete the claim soon either repairing the Motorcycle Or Cashing it out. Unfortunately [redacted] is very upset that this accident occurred and so are we but we explained To [redacted] and [redacted] we have to gel the necessary documents together before Any claim can be finalized. We moved a few times and this was the first time it went very smoothly and the guys were so good, fast but careful and very politeI would highly recommend Eagle van lines with Eli and Hector it was easy getting an estimate done at my homethey offer free in house estimates and with no Obligations! The prices are also very competitive, and reasonableI have them on my speed-dial for Movers and give it to all my friends

They moved me from New Jersey to PA and kept the cost minimal because they charge by the hour The estimate AND ACTUAL cost that I received from Eagle Van lines was about $cheaper than the other estimates I received The guys are really hard working, never stopped until I got them lunch!! Again, my move went just as well as my moms move!! We were all so impressed!! They kept what could be a highly stressful process pretty much stress free!!

My son and I had used this moving company for a recent move between *** *** ** and *** ***  My son had made all the arrangements, and the deposit was made for $I was PROMISED a certain amount by a sales person by the name of Hector After he assured me that certain amounts of money would he charged and when, the final cost of this move was DOUBLE the price that Hector had promised me I had to pay double because my possessions were already on the van I was also told that the deposit would be part of the final cost, and I was charged SEPARATELY for the deposit The mover demanded that the ENTIRE BALANCE was due on pickup, when we were told by Hector that we would pay half upon pickup and the remaining balance was due when my possessions arrived in *** I had spoken to the delivery person and he stated that this is not the first time that Hector has acted in this manner and it is in a manner that is deceptive and uncalled for You should never give a verbal pro

We used eagle van lines to move locally in New Jersey . We were not dissapointed in the least. The guys were just great and did a great job with not a single argument or mishap. They arrived on time with all the right tools, guys had our beds and stuff apart in no time! They were fast and careful. The guy that had come to my house and gave us the price was right on the money I was not charged a penny more than the estimate! Very reasonable prices byw and highly recommend eagle. Van lines

Review: I used Eagle van lines service for my move from [redacted] to [redacted] on May 30. They quoted me a rate of $340. On the day of the move not only they showed up 30 minutes late, after starting the work, they said I will have to pay for additional supplies and it would cost $150. After sometime they again showed me a bill for additional supplies for $160. After done with the packing and stuff, before moving to my destination, they wanted to get something for drink and said they will stop at a deli store. After arriving late at the destination, they said they need additional hour. This was just a small 1 bed room move and their behavior was arrogant. I ended up paying almost $600 for the quote of $340. Not only I ended up paying so much, they have messed up my new house with all scratches for the walls and that includes the furniture that was moved.Desired Settlement: 1. Their extra hour was really unnecessary and they have charged me way over quoted.

2. They should pay for the damages that were caused to my walls and furniture.

Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:There was no response on the extra hours that was charged. Why would they want to take a break and then charge the customer for extra hour?. When I spoke with them on the phone, they said blankets are free and I would need only mattress cover. To see double the charge on the day of the move - than what was quoted was outrageous. Their customer service was fine on the phone when I booked them but despite showing up late the person who showed up was rude and arrogant. Their tone was threatening and uncooperative. Please see attached for the pictures for the damages caused. There are other pictures but I was only able to upload 5. This company is a total rip off and should not be allowed in this business as their practice is unethical. Just to get business they quote one amount and charge the double on the day of move leaving customer with no option and that too with their arrogant behavior. Their work quality is also questionable as you can see from the pictures.Regards,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:This company has just copy pasted the previous response and is wasting everyone's time. Their claim of me not providing water is utter false . Despite moving with kids and not hosting a party -- I gave them water in my own hands. These guys can claim whatever they want. Let's take for arguments sake they stopped for 5 mins to get water -- wouldn't that cause extra time on their work?. This is one of the unethical companies I have ever seen. First they quote an amount and charge the double on the day of the move leaving customer with no option at the last minute. As I have stated earlier, they damaged my walls and furniture's. In fact these guys came without needed tools and damaged my cot to remove one of the screws. These guys are absolute rip off, which others needs to be aware so that they don't fall into the same trap.
