Telephone response obtained from the company as follows:The company stated that they only guaranteed the seal coat and striping. The company stated that they discussed verbally with the consumer that the patches were not covered under the guarantee. The company stated that they verbally discussed the cost to completely resurface to lot and the cost would have been well over $100,000.00, the consumer did not want to do that

Consumer sent the following additional information and documentation See attached.Tony Milano of Milano’s Roofing or Northcoast Roofing and Paving (see attached files; Tony Milano’s roofing business card, and North Coast Roofing) or from whatever company you want to pick; North Coast Roofing, ABC paving and roofing, Milano's roofing paving and cement work, Ohio roofing and paving, (see attached file; Ads that were received at the same time as North Coast Roofing ad) came to our building gave us a $10,estimate to repair our damaged porch roof and Silver coat our entire main roofSo to start the job we gave him a check for $on the 31st day of August (see attached file; Roofing receipts page 1) as he promised to bring us a contract the next dayAnd two weeks later we still had no contractThe sub contractor started the job on Monday the 14th of September On the 14th day of September we gave him another check for $(see attached file; Roofing receipts page 1) this time For a total now of, $12,because we did expect to possibly have some unforeseen overages The subcontractor (Master Carpenter) showed up to begin the work on the porch with HIS WORKERS He called “Tony Milano” after discovering that WE STILL had NO CONTRACT & as yet nothing in writingOur square foot roof had STILL not been touched, so our sub-contractor again called “Tony Milano” and he said that he would be bringing the “promised” contract on Wednesday two days later, BUT AGAIN never SHOWED UP & NEVER brought or sent the contract OF COURSE, by now, we were STARTING TO “SMELL A SERIOUS SHYSTER RAT”!! His latest fabricated line of stuff was that they “were NOW going to have to do an extra 30’ by 10’ area on the roof clear down to the south end of our building, touching the new section of the porch” and wanted/needed an extra $15,ON TOP OF THE $12,he had already received AT THIS POINT I sent my assistant manager up on the roof with his phone camera as we HAD NOT HAD any leaks in this “questionable area” for many monthsOur maintenance man had previously coated that specific area months prior and there were NO LEAKS warranting this supposedly “needed additional WORK/MONEY”! The actual area confirmed by the workers ON THE ROOF was only THE 10’ by 12’ area where our three heavy TON air conditioners used to be and had caused a problem many months prior, SO WE MOVED THEM TO THE GROUND Once again, this buiarea was only 10’ by 12’, not a 30’ by 10’ area that “Tony Milano” aka “Tony Nicholas” said/claimed that we needed extra buithat was initially supposedly already been a part and covered by his initial estimation promises The sub-contractor Master Carpenter had already completed the 10’ by 12’ area and was coming back the next day to finish up then we were supposed to get the roof finally coated by Tony Milano’s people that never showed againOn Friday, September the 18th, “Tony Milano” came in claiming that he needed a total of $27,as he had so many expenses that he did NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO CARRY THIS PROJECT, AND HE BEGGED US FOR ANOTHER $6,(See attached file; Roofing receipts page 2) I told him that we did not agree to nor did we have any more money with his part of “the Bargain” NOT BEING FINISHED At the close of the day on Friday, September the 18th “Tony Milano”, who never supplied any materials, told the sub-contractor that he could NOT GET ANY MORE MATERIALS for the roof and that they should clethe area and leave NO ROOF COAT OR THE LAST FEET OF BULL AND RAGGING HAS YET EVER BEEN APPLIED.At the very most with a generous profit, $18,TOTAL should have been MOST ADEQUATE for the entire job being completed BUT we still do not have ANY of our roof finished or coated with any coating at all & we have been through multiple days of rain over the last two weeks So, we must make other arrangements to have our roof coated, which is estimated at $5,to be completed We are asking for $for being totally taken advantage of, and I am more than willing to speak with the media about this total crook taking advantage of our areas businesses Respectfully Submitted, [redacted] *** [redacted] ***, [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The only part of his statement that is true is that the original estimate was $10,000 for the porch repairs and coating the roof. one day into the project and he wanted to ad $15,000. saying this was due to the main roof needing a 10ft x 30ft section replaced, I looked at the spot and it was only 10ft x 10ft. I agreed to ad $5,000 for that. At this point we were still asking for a contract and told for the third time we would receive it tomorrow only never to seen one. Now he wanted $22,000 to finish the project. At the point that the carpentry work was done and all that was left was the coating of the roof we had given him $18,500 and he still had no contract for us and the new total for finishing the project would be $27,500 and he wanted it before he would finish. We kind of felt like we were being strangled for more money and he was not going to come and finish the job anyway. So for an original estimate of $10,000 he received $18,500 which was almost double for adding a 10ft x 10ft section and the roof was not finished. We had to pay for it to be finished by a more responsible and reliable group. We owe him nothing for that mater if we had gotten a contract he would owe us and we could probably sue his company. The man has multiple company names and we believe a fake [redacted]'s list referral so that he looks legit doing bad business.  Please refer to the original documents the total for labor and supplies was $10,430, we normal would not know that but he refused to pay that to the contractor and only gave him $7,500 claiming that we had not payed him anything and so he could not pay him. the contractor was going to file legal action against Milano so we were asked what we payed for the job and exchanged info.

Business response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff 11/23/15. The consumer hired him to do the roof and the porch.  The roof was for $5000 and the porch was estimated to be $5000 or more because the wood and rafters were completely rotted. He explained to the consumer that if they replace only 25% of the porch it would be $5000, but wouldn't be certain of the remaining work until they tore it apart. When he tore it out, the consumer had a manager at the facility up there with him, he found that 60% of the porch needed to be replaced and also the whole back porch roof needed to be completely replaced. Once they were given the go ahead, he told the consumer that he wouldn't be sure of what the total cost would be until everything was completed. Then at the end of the project the porch came out to $22,000 and the main roof that he contracted them to do in the beginning was an additional $5000. The consumer gave them $18.000 over 3 payments and told him that he didn't have enough money to pay the full $22,000 for the porch and that he wanted them to come back the next week to pick up the $4000 balance he still owed. After he pays the $4000 he wanted them to start on the main roof. He called consumer the following week to make and appointment to come and see him, the consumer told him that he is paying him any more money and that they were getting another roofer to finish the work. The consumer still owes them $4000 for the work they did.

Consumer sent the following additional information and documentation.  See attached.Tony Milano of Milano’s Roofing or Northcoast Roofing and Paving (see attached files; Tony Milano’s roofing business card, and North Coast Roofing)  or from whatever company you want to pick; North Coast...

Roofing, ABC paving and roofing, Milano's roofing paving and cement work, Ohio roofing and paving, (see attached file; Ads that were received at the same time as North Coast Roofing ad) came to our building gave us a $10,000 estimate to repair our damaged porch roof and Silver coat our entire main roof. So to start the job we gave him a check for $5000.00 on the 31st day of August (see attached file; Roofing receipts page 1) as he promised to bring us a contract the next day. And two weeks later we still had no contract. The sub contractor started the job on Monday the 14th of September.  On the 14th day of September we gave him another check for $7000.00 (see attached file; Roofing receipts page 1) this time.  For a total now of, $12,000 because we did expect to possibly have some unforeseen overages.  The subcontractor (Master Carpenter) showed up to begin the work on the porch with HIS WORKERS.  He called “Tony Milano” after discovering that WE STILL had NO CONTRACT & as yet nothing in writing. Our 4800 square foot roof had STILL not been touched, so our sub-contractor again called “Tony Milano” and he said that he would be bringing the “promised” contract on Wednesday two days later, BUT AGAIN never SHOWED UP & NEVER brought or sent the contract.  OF COURSE, by now, we were STARTING TO “SMELL A SERIOUS SHYSTER RAT”!!  His latest fabricated line of stuff was that they “were NOW going to have to do an extra 30’ by 10’ area on the roof clear down to the south end of our building, touching the new section of the porch” and wanted/needed an extra $15,000 ON TOP OF THE $12,000.00 he had already received.  AT THIS POINT I sent my assistant manager up on the roof with his phone camera as we HAD NOT HAD any leaks in this “questionable area” for many months. Our maintenance man had previously coated that specific area 10 months prior and there were NO LEAKS warranting this supposedly “needed additional WORK/MONEY”!  The actual area confirmed by the workers ON THE ROOF was only THE 10’ by 12’ area where our three heavy 5 TON air conditioners used to be and had caused a problem many months prior, SO WE MOVED THEM TO THE GROUND.  Once again, this build-up area was only 10’ by 12’, not a 30’ by 10’ area that “Tony Milano” aka “Tony Nicholas” said/claimed that we needed extra built-up that was initially supposedly already been a part and covered by his initial estimation promises.  The sub-contractor Master Carpenter had already completed the 10’ by 12’ area and was coming back the next day to finish up then we were supposed to get the roof finally coated by Tony Milano’s people that never showed again. On Friday, September the 18th, “Tony Milano” came in claiming that he needed a total of  $27,000 as he had so many expenses that he did NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO CARRY THIS PROJECT, AND HE BEGGED US FOR ANOTHER $6,500.00. (See attached file; Roofing receipts page 2) I told him that we did not agree to nor did we have any more money with his part of “the Bargain” NOT BEING FINISHED.  At the close of the day on Friday, September the 18th “Tony Milano”, who never supplied any materials, told the sub-contractor that he could NOT GET ANY MORE MATERIALS for the roof and that they should clean-up the area and leave.  NO ROOF COAT OR THE LAST 10 FEET OF BULL AND RAGGING HAS YET EVER BEEN APPLIED.At the very most with a generous profit, $18,500.00 TOTAL should have been MOST ADEQUATE for the entire job being completed…BUT we still do not have ANY of our roof finished or coated with any coating at all & we have been through multiple days of rain over the last two weeks.  So, we must make other arrangements to have our roof coated, which is estimated at $5,000.00 to be completed.  We are asking for $8500.00 for being totally taken advantage of, and I am more than willing to speak with the media about this total crook taking advantage of our areas businesses.                                                Respectfully Submitted,                        [redacted]                        [redacted]                                             [redacted]                        [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  The attached reflects the (5) year guarantee for the work completed and paid for.  The lack of honesty and responses to our communication did not help the situation.
