Eaglewings Iron Craft Reviews (3)

The Issue with Mr. [redacted] was resolved by the time we received this complaint notice with Reference number# [redacted].  All necessary repairs have been satisfactorily completed on April 4th 2014.

Unusual issues occurred...

due to inappropiate structural integrity from existing slump block wall built by others.  As well as budget specifications set by customer.

Attached you can find pictures of the gate and the document that specifies the additional bracing to secure proper installation at no additional cost to the customer.

Our goal is to satisfy every customer we contract with.  As a small business we value the importance of  customer satisfaction and their referrals.   We would hope not to receive any negative reviews to our company.

After installing sunscreens on the majority of my house, we decided there were 3 windows missed that should have been done. We don't know how they were missed from the original quote... so ...

We asked for pricing to get screens for these 3 windows - it seems once they have the bulk of your order/$$, the pricing completely changes.

Original work was for 18 windows @ $1500. Most were 2nd floor windows.

An additional 3 windows is being quoted now for a little over @ $500! Really??? These are first floor windows, too!

Fairly typical of vendors I've seen - once they have been paid, and there isn't much work left that might be available, they don't seem all that interested in your additional business - unless you're willing to let them pick your pocket while they're at it.

Review: I contracted this company to cut an opening in a slump block fence and install a gate in the opening. On the first install attempt. every block that the gate was mounted to was cracked, some to the point that they were literally falling apart. I called the company and met with [redacted], who was less than helpful. I suggested filling the end row of blocks with concrete to make it into a solid pier to mount the gate to. [redacted] informed me that this option would cost me additional, as this was not in the original scope of work. This confused me, as I was under the impression that the scope of work included installing the gate properly. On the second attempt to install the gate, [redacted] drilled holes in an extended metal mounting plate and proceeded to try to mount the gate into the mortar joints of the fence. This of course did not hold at all, and he was forced to drill numerous additional holes that left the gate looking very unprofessional. Within 7 days the gate was sagging so bad that the locking tab began hitting against the side of my house, and would not open or close without excessive force. I met once again with [redacted] and was told again that filling the row of blocks would cost me money and was instead offered the option of him mounting two L-shaped brackets that would weld to the metal mounting plate and extend all the way over to my neighbors fence and anchor to a concrete-filled pier. After much disagreement, [redacted] offered to take the gate and refund my money, which I agreed to. That option was then promptly taken off with table, and [redacted] said "that is just one of many options, and you can't have that one". After more disagreement, I finally agreed to the fix with the condition that I would receive a written guarantee that this fix would solve my sagging problem and not cause damage to the fence wall I share with my neighbor. [redacted] agreed to this over six weeks ago and has since assured me twice that the problem would be fixed "this week", both times failing to deliver on his promise. At this point, I am highly skeptical of the repair being the correct way to fix this problem, and would greatly appreciate assistance in getting this matter resolved in a timely matter.Desired Settlement: I believe that this business should repair the work with accepted practices.
