Received mail again addressed to my deceased father. Called number on mail to again request removal of my home address from mailing list. Was interrupted by person answering the phone b/c she "didn't understand why I was upset." She then hung up on me before I could explain, and then she spent her time picking up and then immediately hanging up the phone multiple times when I called back to make my same request of being removed from their mailing list. This is rude and immature behavior that no consumer should be subject to...acting like a 5-year old. If she didn't want to talk to me again that's fine. Have someone else answer. I wouldn't trust this place even if my parents were alive and needed a hearing screening or if I needed one myself.
Dear Revdex.com and Ms.-***,Let me first apologize for any unprofessional behavior you encountered in contacting our office. Proper telephone conduct is critically important to our business and we strive to hire and train the best possible employees in this area. Again, I'm sorry this was not your experience.When we are contacted with requests to be removed from "our list," I explain that direct mail of all kinds, whether sent by the smallest to the largest companies, is almost always contracted to be done with vendors know as "mail houses." The list that mail houses use is ordered from yet another vendor whose specialty is mailing lists - most commonly know as a "list broker." The list broker actually gets its lists from the true primary compilers of lists. These are the gigantic consumer data and credit businesses like Equifax and Inspirion to name but two.When we do a mailing, we do not know the name of the list broker that was used. Therefore, our only course of action in honoring requests to be removed for "our list" is to forward the name and address of the person to the mail house. From that point forward we have no influence over whether or not the request was acted on, and to what extent is was acted on. I can assure Ms.-*** that we informed our mail house of her request by email no later than Friday of the week in which she contacted us.If she again receives mail from us, I do apologize. If she will let us know of it, we will again make the request of our mail house.I honestly know of no other course of action available to us in cases such as this.Thank you,***--
