[redacted] Dear Revdex.com: [redacted] complaint was forwarded to me for response as her purchase was handled by my Department.  [redacted] purchased a [redacted] with 63,338 miles from Earnhardt North Scottsdale Hyundai [ENSH] on September 27, 2014. In reviewing her complaint, she stated that she wanted to trade her car in for a vehicle with a lower payment and she accomplished this as her payment went from $453 on the [redacted] to $384 on the[redacted], $69 less per month.  Upon receipt of your letter, we contacted [redacted] and scheduled an appointment  for Saturday, 12/13/14, to bring the [redacted] into our Service Department for  a complete diagnostic evaluation.   The diagnostic yielded two issues, a faulty gas cap which caused the check engine light,  and a small oil leak.  The gas cap and the oil adapter housing shield were replaced, which fixed both issues.  The odometer read 66,835 miles, 3497 more than when she took delivery.  The repairs were done at no cost to [redacted], even though  the implied warranty of 15 day/500 miles had expired.   While in the dealership on Saturday, we offered [redacted] a service contract at cost, on an interest free payment plan, with ENSH paying the $200 down payment, but she declined.  I attempted to contact [redacted] today, and left a message that I would be willing to pay $500 toward the service contract (prices ranging from $1104 - $1518, dependent on the coverage she selected), to make the monthly payment more manageable for her.  I requested she contact me directly should she decide to accept this offer.       In closing, I understand that [redacted] is concerned that she has had some service problems soon after purchasing, but we have addressed these issues.  The [redacted] report for the [redacted] shows no accidents and the prior owners serviced the vehicle regularly.  We offered to trade her into a different vehicle but she would not consider this option if it raised her payment above the current $384 per month, but this could not be accomplished.  We have offered to pay $500 to assist her in the purchase of a service contract to cover the vehicle if problems arise in the future.   It is our hope that she accepts this option. Thank you for forwarding [redacted] letter as it resulted in the immediate repair of the issues outlined above and a remedy to address repairs that may arise later.  Please contact me if you have any additional questions relating to this case.  I thank you and wish you a happy holiday season.  Sincerely:   [redacted]Special Finance DirectorEarnhardt Auto Centers [EAC][redacted] cc:  [redacted]

I took my 2011 Hyundai Tucson to Earnhardt Hyundai for a safety service repair issued by Hyunda. I was told by this dealer that I needed front brakes replaced. I then took my vehicle to [redacted] for brake inspection and another opinion and was told the front brakes had only 20% wear and were no where near needing replacement. The [redacted] representative told me they often inspect the brakes of vehicles where the owner was told by an auto dealer service department that new brakes were needed when they were not.

The check has been processed and mailed.  The  dealership apologizes for any delay.
