Review: I bought a mattress and box spring set from earth exchange in superior off of tower ave & was told the bed was something other then advertised to me, I bought it and have sense returned it. However have has some serious issues with the amount of Money that was due back even with the proof via receipt to show what I paid. I was scammed out of 65 dollars from this business, I was supposed to get 508.05 back but instead of that got 448.00 back which is not what I paid for the bed set I purchased. The stores excuse was I was given a discount which was before I paid 1015.00 the discount was 51.00 I Did my math myself. Two twin beds at 179.00 each a bed frame at 120.00 an bed set at 508.05 and misc at 28.95 came to exactly 1015 yet they claim they got the math of 1003.00 total. Not right in my opinion and a horribly run business. I want my remaining money I'm owed rightfully.Desired Settlement: Refund amount due back that is 65.00 dollars I was scammed out of by this business

We received a call from [redacted] on 3-18-15 about a mattress sethe bought in our store.He said he was not happy with it and wanted to bring it back. I toldhim to bring it in andwe can do an exchange for him. He said that he wanted to have hismoney back becausehis mother gave them a different mattress already. I explained thatour arrangement withall mattress companies is that they will exchange and I would be happyto do this for himbut cannot do a refund.A few hours later he came in and became very confrontational with me.He told me that I canturn around and resell the mattress. When I told him that we do notsell used mattresses,he said that when he bought the mattress set, the plastic had a holein it and is thereforetechnically used also?? There were many other hostile comments made by [redacted].I decided that satisfying an angry customer is more important thanstore policy and told himI will make an exception and give him back his money.He came back with the mattress and foundation and his charge slip. Hedid not have the store receipt.I told him that I would not charge him a restocking fee but will haveto take into considerationthe discount we gave him.That is how I arrived at the $458.15 which I refunded for him.He came in later with the receipt which clearly showed that he paid$990.00 including tax.Here is what he purchased:Edgerton Five Star Mattress and Foundation ( SERTA Product) $499.952 Rufino Lockhart foam encased Pillow Top Mattresses at 179.95 each1 Metal Bedframe Queen with extra leg $59.951 Queen Metal Headboard 129.95499.95179.95179.9559.95129.95Subtotal: $ 1,049.95Tax $ 57.74Total. $ 1,107.49[redacted] paid $990.00 for the furniture instead of $1,107.49.As an additional discount we paid tax for him on the furniture purchase.The difference between the $990.00 and the amount he paid ( 1,015.57)were some smaller, miscellaneous items.When [redacted] came in with the store receipt he said he just wanted tobring it to me. He didnot say that he thought the refund check was incorrect. In fact heapologized to me. He sharedwith me that he is taking medication for anger issues. I shookhis hand and told him that it meant a lot to hear him say that andthat now everythingturned into something good.He said that maybe he could do something good for us and send us more business.That was the last interaction I had with [redacted].I have since been advised that I was under no obligation to issue arefund and should haveat least charged the customary 10 to 15 % restocking fee.Please let me know if I can answer any other questions.Respectfully Yours[redacted]
