Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They did not address my concern about retroactively charging me for my membership over time in which they would not have allowed me to use the gymThey charged me for gym use privileges that I never had the option to useThey are charging me for a service they did not provideThis is poor business practice, and I was blindsided and financially crippled by the charges.I am under the impression that an unpaid account of a deceased person would indefinitely continue to accrue charges and would be charged retroactively.I would like to know how long an unpaid account would be kept active, and would accrue charges before automatically being cancelled by the gym.More importantly, I would like my dues refunded, less the charge for freezing Sincerely, [redacted]

***, As previously aforementioned we have been unable to locate any documentation where you requested to freeze, cancel, or climb, while your membership was past due At Earth Treks we do our best to work with our members when they communicate to us that they are unable to pay for a month of duesMore often than not, the member continues climbing during the time in which they decline providing they communicate their plan to get their membership dues back on track However, what we will do for you is refund your dues less the freeze feeFurthermore, we will also add a free visit to your account that you are free to use at your leisure, and it will not expirePlease call the gym and speak with myself, *** ***, or *** *** to provide us with the credit card number as we do not keep that information on file once an account has been terminated Lastly, regarding your impression that an unpaid account of a deceased person would accrue indefinitely, that is not only unethical, but also illegal
