At no time, has there been a misunderstanding or misinterpretation on our part related to the contract signed with [redacted] andEAS Painting, Inc To suggest otherwise is both unkind and untrue! At all times, our dealings were directly with Mr [redacted] and not his carpenter Based upon recommendations from Mr [redacted] ***, in addition tohouse and garage trim paint we agreed to have the entire house and garage painted The amended contract indicated an additional chargeof $for window repairs on the house, shingle replacement on the front of the garage and replacement of rotted wood on the garage door frameThe aforementioned work was completed prior to the commencement of painting There was never discussion of the need for any further repairs Wewould never knowingly incur an expense of $14,and not have the project completed properlyAfter a very wet Spring, painting commenced on May 7, and completed on May 29, On October 3, 2014, nearly five months after projectcompletion we forwarded an email (attached) to Mr [redacted] *** indicating the presence of blistering and bubbling on recently painted areas NumerousVM's/emails received no response........Finally, on May 23, 2015, nearly one year after work completion Mr [redacted] made a premise visit to view the areas of concern His suggestion that weonce again be involved in additional personal expense (his benefit) was not well received Attached, please find our response to that meeting forwarded to Mr [redacted] via email on May 26, On June 8, a saved VM from [redacted] indicated that he did not think he was responsible however, in a "good faith"effort to resolve the complaint he would take care of the problem Again, no follow-upMr [redacted] came highly recommended and we are clearly disappointed in his response or lack there of The questions remains how does wood rot or becomemoldy in such a short period of time or if this situation was present at the time of painting why were we not advised Strangely enough areas that werereplaced by his team are in fact peeling

I am aware of the difference of opinion and discrepancy that triggered such complaintHowever, in order to subside this contention, I *** ***, owner of business EAS Painting, would like to offer my sincere apologies for the distress of this occurrenceI take full responsibility for the faults of my business and tend to do my best to remain in good terms with my clients from start to finish by providing full assistance until they are satisfiedIf this specific client is not satisfied, it means that my job is not finished, therefore I shall provide full collaboration until work is done Since I do not own a Carpentry company and am not insured to perform as a carpenter, I cannot fix any wood work or have it as my responsibilityAs mentioned before, any paint job that needs to be re-done WILL be re-done at my own expense

I appreciate my clients input, and understand that in a business we strive for excellence, though it is common that misunderstanding and mistakes may occur from both parties. As a qualified business man and owner of EAS Painting INC., Iwould like to apologize to my client for any...

distress caused by the circumstance mentioned by his/her statement. However, based on the reputation that my business has held for over 10 years, I have built integrity upon these years, and have never neglected a troublesome situation or a clients concern. Theinstance stated appears to have some misinterpretation that I would like to clarify. Before any paint work was done, my carpenter visited the work site and noticed that the siding walls (shingles) were rotten andneeded to be replaced prior to any paint job.  I was told by my carpenter that the client refused to have the siding walls (shingles) replaced due to the cost, and my client wanted only the shingles around the garage door replaced. The bubbles and blisters appeared because the wood on the siding walls (shingles) was rotten and molded prior to any paint job. However, after I noticed my client was unsatisfied due to the bubbles and blisters on the old wood, I mentioned I couldhave my carpenter go over to the job site and replace the wood, thus it was not going to be done in my expense. I also indicated that I could in fact re-do the paint job in my own expense with no problem. There may have been some misunderstanding when the following happened: I did not get a definite reply from my client indicating that he/she would bear the expense for the carpentry work, thereforeI was not certain if I should send my carpenter over. As a result my client believed that I was neglecting my responsibility, when in fact I indicated that I would re-do the paint work (which is my business’ area of expertise) at no extra cost. The wood work however, is a carpenter’s responsibility; hence, the expenses required for the carpentry job shall be dealt with the carpenter himself. Once again, I am without doubt willing to take responsibility of re-doing the paint job at no cost, after the new wood replaces the old rotten wood.

At no time, has there been a misunderstanding or misinterpretation on our part related to the contract signed with [redacted] andEAS Painting, Inc.  To suggest otherwise is both unkind and untrue! At all times, our dealings were directly with Mr. [redacted] and not his carpenter.  Based upon recommendations from Mr. [redacted], in addition tohouse and garage trim paint we agreed to have the entire house and garage painted.  The amended contract indicated an additional chargeof $820.00 for window repairs on the house, shingle replacement on the front of the garage and replacement of rotted wood on the garage door frame. The aforementioned work was completed prior to the commencement of painting.  There was never discussion of the need for any further repairs.  Wewould never knowingly incur an expense of $14,220.00 and not have the project completed properly. After a very wet Spring, painting commenced on May 7, 2014 and completed on May 29, 2014.  On October 3, 2014, nearly five months after projectcompletion we forwarded an email (attached) to Mr. [redacted] indicating the presence of blistering and bubbling on recently painted areas.  NumerousVM's/emails received no response........Finally, on May 23, 2015, nearly one year after work completion Mr. [redacted] made a premise visit to view the areas of concern.  His suggestion that weonce again be involved in additional personal expense (his benefit) was not well received.  Attached,  please find our response to that meeting forwarded to Mr. [redacted] via email on May 26, 2015.  On June 8, 2015 a saved VM from [redacted] indicated that he did not think he was responsible however, in a "good faith"effort to resolve the complaint he would take care of the problem.  Again, no follow-up. ...... Mr. [redacted] came highly recommended and we are clearly disappointed in his response or lack there of.  The questions remains how does wood rot or becomemoldy in such a short period of time or if this situation was present at  the time of painting why were we not advised.  Strangely enough areas that werereplaced by his team are in fact peeling.
