Review: I purchased a motor from this company that had a defective head. The head was warped and it needed to be replaced in order for this motor to run. When I purchased this motor I was told that in order to recieve a warranty with the purchased item that a licensed shop had to install it. So I had a licensed shop install the motor. After the install the shop told me that there was an issue with the motor and that the head was bad, the shop replaced the warped head with a good one and the motor runs great now. I called East Coast salvage and they told me in order to recieve a refund I must fax over my invoice. After faxing over the invoice they said to drive the car for a week and they will call me with a solution, a week later no call. I called back and left 4 messages over the coarse of 6 buisness days befor I was able to call and talk to a manager who told me that there was nothing they can do for me. The reason they said was that it was the repair shops fault and not theirs that the motor they sold me was bad. I explained that I still have the warped head that came off the motor and can bring it to them to show them the condition is not in working condition. After being told that the only way to get a warranty with their motor was to have a licensed shop insall it I did just that and spent extra money just for the reason that if I needed a warranty claim I would be valid. I asked for a partial refund but was refused. I payed $640 for a defective motor and feel like I deserve a refundDesired Settlement: I would like the amount of $400 refunded to my credit card. I am asking for partial refund on the motor to be as fair as I can. I spent over 1500 at the shop to get this right, if the motor was good it would of been less than half of that in total expenses.
