Review: August 19, 2012-[redacted] ([redacted]) and I ([redacted]) signed a contract giving him $4,300 for a screen porch/back yard; the finishing date would be October 20, 2012. [redacted] did not call me or have the drawing or permit for the project after October 20. October 22, 2012 I went to DCRA consumer protection division in WDC. I file a complaint against [redacted]. I explain the problem online application. DCRA contact [redacted] ask him to explain the problem, he became unset and told the investigator he would call him back, he never return the call. DCRA continue to call him and was able to set up a meeting with us to talk, I tried to work with me [redacted] , he continue to ask for more money, I became risky giving him more and nothing was done outback, he would say the 1/3 was not a down deposit or he need a first draw. December 2012 [redacted] finally got the plan and permit, he continue to ask for more money no receipt of anything, DCRA continue to talk about receipt to see what was being paid for he did not want me to know any payments of plan and permit.January 2013 waiting for [redacted] to started work in my yard he kept asking for more money. February 2013 I fired [redacted] asking for the different of my 1/3, he claim he mail the check, but it was return back to him, claiming they could find my address. March 21, 2013 I receive a check from [redacted] explaining how much everything cost without a receipt. The charges was too much.Desired Settlement: [redacted] needs to show me receipts for what he paid for and share with investigator the same.
