Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The old floor was supposed to be removed as stated in the contractIt was notThe old floor is linoleum, not plasticThe new floor is 1/inch thick not 1/inch as they state in their replyI know this because I measured it when I had to remove the installed floor under the old refrigerator when it was replacedThis part of the new floor was removed so the new refrigerator could fit under the new hanging cabinets. The dishwasher opening was an industry standard opening UNTIL the 1/INCH THICK new floor was installedThe opening then became too small to install a standard size dishwasher In order to remove the old dishwasher they had to cut the feet on it in order to lift it over the 1/inch thick floorWhen the new dishwasher was installed a large notch was cut into the countertop (where one was not needed before) to install the new dishwasherThis is an obvious and clear indication that the opening was no longer big enough because of the 1/inch thick floorThe plumber came the next day to make the plumbing connection to the water lineThe electrical installation was wrong because there was no ground wire installed as stated by the manufacturer in the installation manual which I made available to the installer before installation began. The difference in elevation between the living room rug and the new floor is 1/inchThe bevel edge installed is too narrow to cover this difference in height safelyThe nails have pulled out creating a tripping hazardThis came about as a result of normally walking over it over a period of time. I quote from his reply: "I cannot understand the problem when you work with old structure and you after compromise the work and the right job to take the bottom cabinets out as we explained to the owner." This was explained to me AFTER the floor work had begunThere can be no compromise once the work had begunIf I was told this BEFORE the work had begun, then I would have had a decision to makeI would have made the decision not to replace the floorWHY DID THEY NOT TELL METHIS BEFORE THE WORK HAD BEGUN?
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above
Sincerely,
*** ***

Hi.   This is my response to the complaint:   Mario Mazzella Contracting Corp. did work for M[redacted]. We removed the top cabinets on the kitchen area. Replaced new cabinets. Owner did not want to replace the bottom cabinets. We tried to remove plastic tiles which they are only 1/8 of...

an inch thick. We explained to the owner that we installed pergo floors 1/4 of an inch thick.   When the dishwasher broke, they claimed that the new one could not fit. I went there with my plumber to disconnect the dishwasher installed and did some plumbing free at my cost. No complaint from the owner.    Owner has rug to meet with pergo and we installed bevel edging to meet. He is complaining for 1/4 of an inch of elevation. We completed the bathroom on 2nd floor. No complaint from the owner. We completed the bathroom on the first floor. No complaint from the owner. I cannot understand the problem when you work with old structure and you after compromise the work and the right job to take the bottom cabinets out as we explained to the owner.    Thank you.
