the best possible service along with the dignity and respect they deserve. First, please allow me to explain that Connecticut Matchmakers is an introduction service that assists members in finding suitable “matches”. The way our company works is each potential member is invited to our office for a one on one personal interview with one of our consultants. After the interview, the potential member is screened and if they pass successfully, we thoroughly explain how our matching process works. When they choose to become a member they then go through a personality/attitude profile. This is our most important focus when matching members. Connecticut Matchmakers matches their members based on their compatibility (values) levels. Next, the consultant and new member also create a personality profile. The profile includes the criteria they desire in a mate. The entire enrollment can take up to several hours before completion. When our matchers send a referral to a member, they consider all the criteria but our main focus is the compatibility. The match is created with the assumption that both parties will find qualified partners that may have mutual interests, but are compatible in their values. During the enrollment process the member signs a membership agreement that is explained to them during the interview. The membership agreement is not signed by the member until they have ample time to fully understand the terms of the signed membership agreement. Mr. [redacted] joined Connecticut Matchmakers on February 5, 2014 for a Trial Membership which included unlimited referrals on an as available basis, within a 12 month time frame. On February 12, 2014 Mr. [redacted] was sent his first referral. We received his written feedback on March 3rd stating she never returned his call. We responded to Mr. [redacted] feedback via email the same day letting him know we would start looking for another referral. On March 24th we received an email from Mr. [redacted] stating he had been calling us for a week, but never received a call back and let us know he wanted to cancel his membership. We called him the same day and left a voicemail letting him know we did not receive any messages from him, confirmed our number and asked him to call us back. We then received an email from Mr. [redacted] on March 25th letting us know he received our message, but still wanted to cancel. We responded the same day letting him know he just became a member and it was very unrealistic to think that a membership like this would work in such a small time frame. We reminded him that all referrals were sent out on an as available basis and he was right on track with his membership. We also reviewed our refund policies with him and asked him to review his signed contract again. On March 26th Mr. [redacted] sent us an email cancelling his membership. We responded the same day letting him know we would like to work with him, but he responded stating he was not interested. We are more than willing to continue working with Mr. [redacted], but ask him to remember that we are looking for a life partner for him and that takes time. Mr. [redacted] was only a member for less than two months and we are sure that he would be successful here if he decided to continue with his membership. Both parties has come to a resolution. CT Matchmaker and myself have
agreed to terminate my contract and waive the $1000 balance that was due
on May 5, 2014.
