The plain simple fact is the plaster was a perfect job and it was inspected by a rep for *** who told the customer there was a build up on plasterall that is needed is a acid wash to remove build up

as per your complaintafter building the pool on [redacted] the walls floor and plaster was in perfect condition after more than 2 months there was calcifacation on the plaster due to not having ph levels maintained and not having proper water chemistry . a rep from the plaster co. [redacted] visited...

the pool and gave a statement to the owner saying it was a water chemistry issue and it needed to be acid washed to get rid of calcifacation .  This is not a structural or imperfect mason job it was poor water chemistry.pic 1. 6-18-14 pool plastered on 7-16-14 a month later still no one taking care of pool but no complaints and pool still looked greati am sorry for your problem and would love to help you but the blame is on water not pool or plaster.

I am rejecting this response because:Documents reveal that East Coast Pool Concepts is at fault.  A pool rep also agrees with are findings.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: It is a complete fabrication of the truth.  Here are the facts:   East Coast Pool Concepts has the wrong address on their response.  Another example of how confused they are.2: Attached you will see pool was tested and monitored by [redacted] on the following dates July 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 15, 22, 29 and 30th.  Pool was brushed and tested.  Levels reveal that calcification did not occur3: Again, the mason who worked on our pool did an improper job.  The term is called "over troweling"   which caused areas of uneven color.  4. Photos reveal just one area with improper color due to uneven surface.  There is also a pic of a crack in the wallDocuments reveal that pool was carefully monitored and properly serviced.  It also reveals that the levels did not cause the issues with the pool.  Please review attached documents

Review: Pool initially purchased in October 2013; completion date agreed to was May 2014; currently June 23rd; East Coast Pools has repeated stated that workers would be on site to complete the work and the Company has consistently not showed up; text / phone messages are not returned; Coordination of 3rd party contractors has been very poor.Desired Settlement: 1.) completion of work;

2.) compensated for the inability to use pool as I suspect at the current rate it will not be completed until the Fall;

3.) awareness created to other unsespecting consumers that this is not a reputable firm

Response:

As a pool builder for plaster 25 years I have had no complaints against me ever. We started pool in October of 2013 and when winter set in we were unable to work till end of March 2014 with record cold temp for March and April and rain delays our project for pool was complete by end of May . There was extra stone patio added to contract of 2000 ft of stone as well as 6oo sq ft of extra stone patio. In the middle of a busy season to begin with we have been trying to finish extra patio but it is slower since we are onto other jobs as well . I hate to disappoint a customer and strive to keep everyone happy and feel due to it raining 3 times a week and having a hard long winter we let [redacted] down. I know at end he will be very pleased with workmanship and enjoy summer after summer with his wonderful backyard we created custom for him.

I am rejecting this response because: I was very disappointed to learn that this complaint has been closed as 'resolved". The work has NOT been completed and East Coast Pool Concepts has a list of open items which they PROMISED would be completed this week. It is Wednesday and there has been no communication from them.

Response:

All work to be done by said date was done last friday as agreed. I don't understand?? We have been paid in full after all work agreed was done in said amount of time. I hope [redacted] is happy now I think we did everything he wanted in time agreed upon. We have never received a complaint in 15 yrs and hope all customers are happy.

Review: East Coast Pool Concepts attempted to build an inground pool in our backyard. East Coast Pool Concepts did not shoot the concrete evenly in the pool. There are rough patches that feel like sand paper. There are also chips and cracks in the walls. The steps are completely rough, not smooth at all. Due to the poor pool masonry, the color is completely uneven. There are areas that are dark blue, medium blue and grey. When asked about the discoloration East Coast Pool Concepts took no ownership. We have on record the proper care that was used once the water was added to the pool which proves that we are not at fault.Desired Settlement: We feel that East Coast Pool Concepts should refund us the amount of money it is going to take to fix these problems.
