Review: On 2/28/2013 a call was placed to this company requesting a cable pull for a vehicle stuck (6.75 feet from road) in the mud. The driver called while enroute and informed of approximate arrival time, indicated that my deductible was eaten up via mileage and that I should expect to pay out of pocket. When asked how much, the driver indicated that it would take approximately 40 feet of cable and that was hard to quote without being there. I agreed it would be difficult to quote without examining. Upon arrival, the driver observed the task and was asked about an estimate and the driver simply continued to hook up and say that the footage would have to be measured. The retrieval was made and the driver wrote to bill up at $175.00 for a 40 foot pull. Prior to the drivers arrival, I personally measured the approimate pull distance at 7.5 feet to the parking lot area and also measured the final pull at 6.75 feet to the parking lot area. The tow vehicle was at a 8 foot range from the edge of the parking lot making a total of 14.75 feet of cable. When I challenged the driver I was informed that a cash payment was all that would be accepted before my vehicle would be released.Desired Settlement: Complete and total refund due to motor club coverage and an appology for the distress that the driver incited.
