East Coast Restoration

The contractor charged an exorbitant price ($1,400) to remove a kitchen cabinet and part of a wall. Fortunately I was able to stop him before he set up a dehumidifier and fan, as I already had these items. He told me the charge would have been $300 more if I accepted them.

I asked if he could hold my check for five days, so that my social security check would be there to cover the check amount. He said yes. I applied a post-it note to the face of the check. Then I discovered that they did NOT hold the check. They promised to refund my $35 overdraft fee. I have not received this, and it's been 3 weeks.

I would like them to cover the overdraft, as promised. I would also like them to refund half of the amount I paid them, as I believe their "service" is seriously overpriced for my area.
