Review: Service:Dealer Prep was charged at over $300 and they still had protective decals left on, there were significant gouges in the woodwork and clocks were not set, not to mention the diesel was not topped off. Billing: Propane: Dealer Prep was charged at over $300 to include diesel fuel and Propane ([redacted] Gas), as well as over $100 for them to drive to go get the [redacted] in the next town over. This is just ridiculous as this was never mentioned/negotiated and this should be part of their overhead/cost of doing business Customer Service: since then, they have been very stand-off-ish; not wanting to share the owner's email address and not cooperating to get the right documentation to me for licensing. Overall, a VERY bad experience!Desired Settlement: Refund of $315 dealer prep

Customer arrived at our Bedford, PA location to take delivery of his new ‘wit on 11-29-2013.????? While doing his paperwork he questioned the “DOC” fee. The individual servicing Mr. [redacted] went to the person in charge and asked if we could waive this fee. Which he agreed to do. A new buyers order was made up showing the “DOC” fee removed and given to Mr. [redacted] for him to sign. Again, which he did. At this point the deal was complete, and the unit his. Apparently Mr. [redacted] is now upset about the “PREP” fee of $300.00. There are legitimate procedures performed which the ‘PREP” fee covers. If you would like we would be willing to supply Mi. [redacted] with these again. As we have done already,

Review: On 6-15-13I went to E Coast RV, signed a credit application and gave the business 1000 check toward the purchase of a park model. I had an issue arise with the unit I had sold, and the campground where I was to put the park model changed their mind on a tree that needed to be removed before the park model could be purchased, at this point I was leaving the campground at the end of the camping season. I called E Coast RV on Friday 6-21 & canceled my purchase & was advised that my 1000 would be refunded no problem. I waited until 7-8 to call again to give them time to send a check. I was told they had to purchase a toilet for me to have replaced in the unit & I could not have my money back until it sold. I ask how much & was advised 500, my response was I could by a house toilet at lowes for 59. Was told not to call them ever again. I had 1000 credit if I wanted to buy a unit & money would be refunded only after toilet sale. I sent a letter demanding my money be returned on 7-12-13.I received a letter back on 7-16 advising they were charging me 474.13 for the removal & replacement of a holding tank & would refund only 525.87 or I had 1000 credit.(Previously, I was advised the repairs would be done on site by the manufacture after delivery, so I cannot understand why they would do this work before I signed a sales agreement or even had a sales agreement written up.) I sent a response on 7-29 advising to send my 525.87 & a detailed Itemized statement of the services they were charging me for. To date 9-1-13 I have not received a check or statement or have had any contact from them. I have never been treated so horrible by a business, they were very nice until I canceled, then [redacted] was hollering at me that he lost a sale and wanted to know my real story, and I should never call or bother them again. Very rude, and unprofessional. No signs were posted that stated no refunds of deposits.Desired Settlement: I want my 1000.00 back, I did not sign any agreement with them only a credit application. I will never purchase anything from this dealer.

Response:

East Coast RV sent me a check for 525.87 and an invoice for work completed on June 17,2013 for 474.13. This is a fraudulent invoice because I did not call to advise them I was not purchasing the unit until June 21,2013. I was not even approved for credit until June 19, 2013 and I was also told they had to special order a toilet for me and that is why there was a restocking fee.

June 17, was the first business day they were open after I met them at closing time (right around 12:30PM) on June 15th. So they are saying they completed a removal of the holding tank, before I had any discussion about possibly removing the tank and a reinstall of that same tank before I spoke with them on the 21st about no longer making the purchase. And as far as a restocking fee for a special order toilet, how could that have been ordered, received and installed by June 17th. I had no contract nor did not advise them to complete any work on my behalf. There was no mention of work already completed when I spoke with them on June 21, and [redacted] made no mention of work already completed when he called me on June 22, 2013 to confirm I did not want the unit and to find out why I changed my mind.

Any work that was completed on a unit was a decision East Coast RV made on their own, and I should NOT have to pay for a decision they made on their own. And according to their invoice it was done before I talked to them about anything. Is it possible this work was done for another customer.... I have no idea. I just know it was not done for me.

In order to resolve this issue I will need a check for the remainder of my money they are holding in the amount of 474.13. I have attached a copy of the invoice they sent me.

To Whom It May Concern:

The invoice dates may not be exact because the Technicians sometimes wait until they have a few to do

before completing them. [redacted] had given us a deposit on the unit and stated It had to have

holding tanks and a different toilet. We try to complete the work that a customer needs done ASAP

because the customer usually wants the unit sooner than later. When a customer gives a deposit on a

unit we start to prep the unit & make any changes that customer wants done. That is the reason for the

deposit These parts cost the company money and we don't just order that kind of stuff to sit around

and collect dust. I feel we were more than fair in giving her $525.87 back.

Thank you,

This note is to inform you that East Coast RV has sent me a check in the amount of 474.13. Which is the remainder of the 1,000.00. My issue is now resolved with them. Thank you for your assistance in getting this matter resolved for me, without the Revdex.com I would of never gotten my money back.
