In April 2017, contracted for a hurricane window protection system utilizing ***fabric system Was furnished a wind abatement system
Requested window protection system using Armorguard fabric system Was told except for one window, could be done Also, requested installation per Miami-Dade requirements After installation of system in preparation for Hurricane Irma, it became apparent to me that I had been furnished a wind abatement system and not a window protection system
East Coast shutter was paid $cash to furnish a window protection system with the exception of one window
Wrote a letter dated 9/20/to East Coast Shutter statingmy concerns Met with Rupert J***, agent, & was immediately told no refund would be forthcoming, but that I could pay East Coast additional money for a different window protection system
For this particular window protection system, installation was not done per the manufacturer's recommendations

Home remained dark for weeksTheir customer service was unresponsive for a follow up visit
Poor customer service

Called the company to ask them when they were going to finish the work on the last to shutters they added and they said they would send someone out
They sent workers took less than a half hour and charged me a service fee plus additional man hour fee for installing $worth of velcro strapsNever told me on the phone that they were going to charge me this feeI spent nearly $10,on getting shutters for this home from this same companyWas told that they would reimburse me at least half of the charge ($50.00) Got a $check in the mail 2/20/for just the velcroTried to speak to the owner MrR*** but he doesn't bother to talk to meThey claim I called them too long ago since they installed these last shutters to get the straps added for freeThey still should have gave me a price for service fee with workers before they cameI could have went to Lowe's and did it myself
